Walk in shower

I made a reservation through this site and specifically asked for a walk in shower because I have a disability. Needless to say, when I arrived at the hotel and got to my room, there was no walk in shower. I talked to the front desk and they told me they were never told of that request. That really ruined my stay as I could not shower, until they were eventually able to move me to a different room a few days later. I was not happy about the situation and won't use this site again

I booked my reservation for a King Suite and paid upfront without a cancellation policy using Reservation Desk. When we arrived at the hotel they didn't have a king suite and put us in a queen suite which was cheaper. Reservation Desk would not refund me the money for the difference in price and I contacted them the first day after we arrived because of the issue with the room. I will never use this site again and I suggest that other people booking a hotel room not to use this site, your reservation is not guaranteed even if you pay in full upfront and the receipt shows that the booking is guaranteed. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!

Buyer beware!

These guys are simply devious. They get you to believe your calling the hotel directly. Then the person you talk with has a very strong accent that is very hard to understand. They implied that we were getting a 2 room suite when it wasn't. Also their price was $40/night higher than we could get at the front desk.
Use them at your own risk!

We booked an overnight stay in Roanoke, Va. And somehow ended up with reservations to a hotel and casino in another state. When we arrived at the hotel, in route to a hospital stay, we were shocked to find out that we did not have a room and had to scramble to locate a different place with available rooms. We used this same service in February, 2025 with no problems. Can you explain the mixup and we now find there will be no refund for rooms in a destination to which we have not been. Probably will not use this service again. Ralph E. Jones

Can't get a refund

Yes, I had to cancel my reservation. I did it as soon as I found out they scheduled my open heart surgery for the same week. I gave over a months notice on my cancellation. Please I really could use my $400 and some dollars back. I really sure I need it more than you! I've tried and tried calling but last time I was on hold for over an hour. So needless to say, I give you a zero.

Googled hotels in a city. Picked one and went to book. I thought reservation desk was just the service the website of the hotel used. BIG MISTAKE. Showed up to the hotel to the wrong rooms, we were told the service sent the wrong info the hotel. And SURPRISE they couldn't change it even though we showed them our confirmation. Tried calling for help only to be passed around to different services. Ended up not getting help. I HAD TO PAY TO UPGRADE TO THE ROOM I ORIGINALLY RESERVED. We could not cancel and book elsewhere as the cancelation fee was too significant. Definitely will be telling people to avoid this.

Not a full Refund

Not a full refund as advertised, they still get the $17.99 fee. I suggest you save this fee and book directly with the hotel. I waited on hold for 50 minutes to talk to someone but had no luck. Entered my itinerary number of ******* which I was told was not recognized. See below from the email I received. For questions regarding our cancellation policy, please review our Frequently Asked Questions or call one of our friendly Reservation Desk agents at: *******659. This is where I was told that I was transferred to an incorrect number. I then gave up. I will stick to booking.com

We checked in on May 17,2025, first we thought it was ocean front and it wasn't. There was lots of rust in the bathroom and mold or mildew on the bathroom wall. What ever was in the ceiling was falling and left white stuff everywhere. The second elevator flooring was soft as if there was a hole in the floor. Upon checkout the housekeeper had her cart in the wall way and it was difficult trying to get by. We had choose this hotel based on the description and pictures from the internet but was somewhat disappointed.

First and foremost, pay attention to the 5 star reviews you see here. Those are all done from a PR firm. Secondly, do not use this company. Do a quick google search on them and you will see they've been shut down before due to poor practices, they then re-opened with this name. Only a matter of time until get they shut down again. We somehow got roped into booking with them when attempting to call a hotel. We asked three simple questions: Can we use my reward points to book the hotel, is there free parking there while we fly out and is there an airport shuttle. The "rep" said to wait as she checked with the hotel. She put us on a hold, came back and said yes they have all of that. We confirmed with her what we asked and she said yes again. We were going to do a bit more digging and the rep was pushy asking well why aren't you just booking now, we don't want to lose this room. Should of known right there something was wrong. I'll summarize it for you: No free parking, no I couldn't just, "walk in and give them my reward points to pay for the room." and no, there is no shuttle to the airport. I called to complain and explained that we will now be out money due to their lack of actually checking on things. I called them May 12th, still no answer. I have reported them to the BBB and will continue to warn others. Look up their reviews, many folks are running into the exact same issue if not other problems. I will give them credit for somehow swindling the system to have it so their number gets called when you attempt to reach out to hotels.

So I used Reservation Desk to book my resort hotel stay at Fontana Village Resort in Fontana Dam, NC. When I went to check in, the hotel said they've received NO payments whatsoever, and that I needed to pay. So I had to use my credit card to pay for the hotel once I got there, even though I'd already paid Reservation Desk. Cost was about $400 less than Reservation Desks cost anyway, however, this caused my wife and I to have to cancel some of our plans on that trip, as the money we'd set aside for those events had to be used to pay for the room. Once the stay was over, I contacted Reservation Desk about a refund, as they'd not held up their end of the contract. Took almost 2 weeks, but in the end, what they did was contact the hotel and have them refund my credit card, so that I still had to pay the much higher amount (with fees, etc) to Reservation Desk. They never held up their end of the contract, and seriously inconvenienced our trip, but in the end, we still have to pay the inflated cost they charge. What a scam! Never again!

I spent nearly the whole drive to a location out of state worrying that my pet was not allowed at the hotel I was traveling to because the pre-check link Reservation Desk wanted me to complete was totally incorrect on the information in the link. Then today I'm casually looking up hotels and the hotels amenities and many hotels use the site and the information they give is wrong.

I was charged a $17.99 fee for using their site. The site is false advertising because it claimed to be the hotel itself. My hotel charge was $140 for the room. The reservationdesk.com charged us over $230 because they said we were fitting a jacuzzi room. We paid extra for the jacuzzi room and when we checked into the hotel they informed us that they have no jacuzzi rooms. We asked for a partial refund for the jacuzzi we paid extra for. Reservationdeak.com said because the hotel offered to cancel our room they could not refund us for the extra we paid for the jacuzzi they offered us. It wasn't the hotels fault that reservation deak.com offered us the jacuzzi room so reservationdesk.com alshould have refunded us for the extra money they chatged us. We paid more than $100 extra compared to what we would have paid of we would have went through the hotel itself but we were misinformed because they made it seem like we were talking to the hotel itself. We feel like we got totally scammed.
