I'm extremely disappointed with Neiman Marcus and their rigid return policy. I received a luxury fragrance as a gift from their store, but unfortunately, it wasn't a scent I could wear. When I attempted to return it — still in the original packaging, with only one spray used — I was told it was not eligible for return or exchange simply because it had been sprayed once. This policy makes no sense, especially considering that fragrances are often gifted and it's impossible to know if someone will like the scent without trying it. One spray to test the fragrance shouldn't disqualify an item from being returned, especially at this price point. For a brand that markets itself as high-end and customer-focused, this experience was both frustrating and disappointing. I expected more flexibility and better customer service from Neiman Marcus. I won't be shopping here again, and I'll be advising others to think twice before buying gifts — especially fragrances — from them.

Orders never comes, kept me waiting for six days after the day I should be receiving my shipment and nothing came! They offered $50 as an apology for what happened but when they refund my order's amount, it was missing the $50! So there is no apologize! I called the customer service talked to the supervisor and send an email, they all said you should be waiting longer and longer which is crazy while the shipment has been lost with FedEx for a week.They can never help you and they can never make you feel better. This is Neiman Marcus!

Neiman Marcus online orders are fulfilled by Borderfree, which is one s#!t show. This is an expat living abroad in a cosmopolitan, big urban center. I ordered an item that's over USD 1,000 on Sep. 10, and by Sep. 28 it was still sitting at Borderfree's warehouse. After making international calls 4 times to NM's customer service line and chatting with their online chat assistant for over 2 hours -- during 2 of these calls the service rep assured me that the item has already landed in my current country, only to find out that these were LIES and the item was still sitting in the warehouse in the US -- I finally had enough and canceled the order. Well, it's been over a week since my cancellation and my refund STILL hasn't been processed.
At this point I can confidently say that Neiman Marcus online AND especially Borderfree are behaving like total scams. The quality of customer service -- if you could even call it that -- is appalling and I will NEVER shop from either NM or any other retailer that fulfills through Borderfree. I cannot stress enough how much of an absolute nightmare the experience has been! Be warned! Stay the f AWAY!
Last night, I took my son to Neiman Marcus in Tyson's Corner to go shopping in the Purple Brand area. He was celebrating his sweet 16 and had received many gift cards. While we were shopping, an elderly white lady with glasses kept following us. Despite others trying to get her attention, she seemed solely focused on us. After I complained to someone, she finally asked if she could help us. We declined, saying we were just looking, but she continued to pretend to be on the phone and follow our every move. My son ended up purchasing a hoodie but felt uncomfortable and targeted due to the lady's behavior, so we left.
Worst online experience i ever had.
I ordered the burberry shoes 3 times and it got cancelled and I dont know why.

This is second time they shipped me diferent items from what I ordered. I search the skirt I received there is not found in google webs. So I wonder where they have that skirt send to me? Normally if you typing the brand and name of the clothes in google there will be a lot of company will show, but with this wrong skirt they send to me I can't find it? I will provide the first pic that I ordered and the second that I received.
I receive a pair of Neiman Marcus Cashmere Collection Full Pant in a size Medium. They were beautiful, roomy and super comfy. I was in love. I could have easily worn a small, but the Med were fine. I wore them twice. Once in the evening, and then again in the morning as I lounged. We were planning a vacation to St. Barts in the caribbean and wanted to take them, so I decided to read the label, knowing they would need to be dry cleaned but looked for any added instructions. They were $315.00 and I loved them and feeling indulgent in the price for my Christmas gift from my generous husband. When I looked at them b4 taking them to the cleaners, I noticed a rip about about 2 inches long in the bottom area and a lot of "nubbing" in the inner leg area. The rip showed the seam was defective where the thickness stopped for about two inches, then started again. The lack of seaming apparently made the cashmere weak and caused it to rip. Again, they were loose, so no pulling on my part. The nubbing that would need to be shaved off should not have happened in two wears lasting a total of hours. What REALLY disappointed me, and caused me to write this review is not the fact that I received a defective item. That happens, and I can understand that. What I do expect is for a company, especially a luxury upscale company as Neiman Marcus to stand behind their brand. Did they? NO. The offered no replacement or refund. But was a defective item. Nope, no refund or exchange. I was given 30 days to return when they were shipped. Not arrived. But shipped, and this was over the holiday delays. But the fact they were a Christmas item, and ordered in advance, but by the time they were ordered, opened and worn, and discovered the rip, it exceeded the 30 days. (30 days at Christmas?) No other high end store does this. Not Nordstrom, Revolve, Lulu Lemon, Harrods, even Amazon allows returns...but Neiman Marcus was firm in that decision. "NO EXCEPTIONS" --- Are you kidding me? After many,many VERY expensive purchases to this store and to see the the integrity and customer service of this store on returning a defective item, will have us choose elsewhere. After exhaustive efforts with a supervisor and the discussion of disputing with my CC, I received half off, but had to keep the defective product. But I didn't want money. I wanted a quality cashmere lounge pant that was $315.00 that should not disintegrate after one mild wearing and a high end company that stood behind their product. We are very disappointed with a high end department store that we admired and gave our business ot that we USED to shop at. No more. Neiman Marcus, do better. To much competition these days and our loyalty to you just did a 180. In the end, it's fairness, integrity and the ability to stand behind your product. It's not all about the money, half off BS...just do the right thing.
I purchased a jacket online from NM. When I got the jacket, I didn't like it so I returned it. I had waited patiently for a refund almost one month. I called the company and spoke to a representative who told me that it was refunded two weeks ago, but I didn't get the money back. I told the representative that there was no any refund to my bank account. She insisted that it was done. I went to my bank and a representative confirmed that there were no any refunds from Neiman Marcus. They are liars and scammers.
NM online is the last place to shop. Your orders are being cancelled numerous amount of time because the items are not available, even though it available when it was purchased. The worst part of it when you called customer service, they are rude, unprofessional and no act of courtesy. Horrible experience. Please stay away from shopping at NM online. You will regret it.
Ok I'm a pretty good NM customer with level 4 loyalty status so…I can get a box with my purchase! It's actually called free gift wrapping! A Neiman Marcus box with a ribbon is now considered free gift wrapping. Quite insulting to customers. If you are lower level customers you can buy a Neiman Marcus box. No pay, no box! Sorry! If you buy the box, you can pay to help them advertise! Such a deal. Sorry to be sarcastic but this totally wrong!
Website and shipping confirmation is a lie. They will refunded and re-debit your account then send you alternative shipping "tracking" numbers before your items are actually in route. When speaking to customer service all they say is "All we can say is that we are sorry and we do not have an explanation."
This is the second time I ordered a product only to receive an email a few days later saying they don't actually have merchandise. AND they still have the same product for sale. Even low end stores have a way of tracking how much merchandise they have in stock. This store is a sad joke. Amazing they are still in business.
They sell product they don't actually have, charge your card, and then weeks later send an email that "due to high demand" they cannot fill the order. What company sells product they don't have or cannot get? It's the most unprofessional thing I've ever seen. Can't imagine they will be in business for long.
I will never order from Neiman Marcus again! They used to be the best, and now they are terrible. They did not send an item that was ordered (it was not out of stock at the time), and when I called and let them know (after 30 minutes on the phone), they told me the item is now out of stock and they will process a credit. The customer service is TERRIBLE and the wait time unacceptable for an easy fix.
Attempted to call the Northpark and Houston store. Could not reach anyone no matter how many times I was put on hold and no one answered. I don't know how many times I have attempted to make a purchase with a store and unable to reach an associate. Lines are busy, store managers not picking up, counter managers aren't in the store, I don't have the time. CAN YOU GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER NEIMAN? I will shop a reputable store. Even corporate won't pick up. Really?!?!?
Tried to get assistance from calling the Troy store. My rep told me to call the store for an explanation on what happened with my order. Phone operators said they transferred the call. I was on hold for 5 minutes after attempting to reach anyone- i hung up and called back 8 times. Manager or anyone.still no one answered. I was on the phone for 20 minutes to try to resolve an issue. I called Dallas.the "corporate" store. What a joke. Same crap. How does this company stay in business? If you shop there, use a point person to call if you have problems and even then, no one apologizes if they have problems with fulfilling orders. It just happens.really? More than once this happened to me and they just came up with excuses. I told my girl to tell her manager I am not shopping there anymore. She said she did and still no apologies. Very unprofessional. Guess they don't care if they lose a customer.
The fedex driver stole my package. Sent them screenshots of the boxed teared and they still denied my claim. Prior to that, I had once returned an item to them and didn't receive my refund but a gift card instead two months later. I used the gift card and paid the remaining balance on my credit card for it only to get stolen. With zero explanation to why my claim was denied when I provided images that proved the boxed that was delivered was ripped apart.
Terrible experience here. I bought a jacket that was over $2k. Alexander McQueen. I wore it ONCE. It was not the right color, and we had to wear logo colors, so I tried to return it. After ONE wear, the jacket apparently had sweat stain DAMAGE (cheap material?) and part of the button color had come off! Really? $2k? What WASTE. The worst part? Of course, NON-RETURNABLE due to this damage after just ONE wear. Don't EVERY buy Alexander Mc Queen and I will NEVER shop Neiman Marcus again.
This store has to be the worst customer service and when you call they all give you different stories exactly stories and they claim to be a first class store I hope they go out of business maybe then they will understand
Don't fall for the gift card campaigns, it's legit a scam. They will either tell you that the sale hadn't started yet (even though you put in a valid promo code) or they will send you one that is empty.
I am very pleased with the excellent experience at Neiman Marcus with Dana who goes beyond her soft people skills. She is kind, soft spoken and wonderful personality. I appreciate her warm hugs and smile. She is an asset to Neiman Marcus.
Disgusted with their customer service. My package was either stolen or lost. They REFUSE to assist me either for a refund or credit. Buyer beware, if you order something expensive you just might be screwed out of receiving it. Truly appalled
