Walmart's reputation is mixed, with customers appreciating its wide product selection and competitive pricing, which enhance accessibility and affordability. However, significant concerns arise regarding delivery reliability, order accuracy, and customer service quality. Many reviews highlight frustrations with unfulfilled orders, inadequate support during issues, and negative interactions with staff. While some customers express loyalty and satisfaction with the overall shopping experience, others report feeling undervalued and dissatisfied, suggesting a need for improvements in communication, order management, and customer support to enhance overall service and restore confidence among shoppers.

If you are calling the North Olmsted, Ohio location for Customer Service…. Good Luck. This store NEVER, EVER answers the phone for Customer Service……. EVER! It doesn't matter what day or what time of day. You will NEVER get anyone to answer the phone.
BEWARE - Walmart sells 5 week+ EXPIRED meat & they close the store whenever they feel like it.
My daughter went to Walmart in North Olmsted, Ohio on 7/11/23 and purchased a roll of Bob Evans Sausage.
When she got home, she opened it and said that the meat was black & smelled like DEATH.
I had to beg my daughter to get the package out of her garbage can and send me photo's. She had the meat in 5 bags to cover the smell.
The package expired on June 1st 2023. (see pics & receipt)
Walmart had & sold expired meat that was over 5 weeks old beyond the expiration date.
They fail to rotate products properly. I tried calling the store for over 3 hours to tell them and they refused to answer their phones.
I was forced to call the Bakery Department to tell them about the problem. They told me that the front desk does not answer phones on a daily basis and that they are always running around trying to get a hold of management for customer issues.
I then drove to the store to protect the public. Walmart had several carts of bad meat that they were pulling from the meat cases.
I also contacted Walmart Corporate to report this issue. They could care less. I even asked them for a refund. They refused and told me that I had to return the "package of death" back to the store with my receipt. (Are they serious?). Walmart can eat the $3.32
While it is understandable that a occasional package may slip by someone's attention….I ask myself….how does a entire section of sausage slip by, especially by more than 5 weeks? So much so that it produced not just 1 cart but several carts of expired products.
There is no excuse for this and Walmart is lucky that the USDA & FDA was not present.
Someone could have easily died from this mess and the only thing that Walmart is concerned with is getting their packaging back along with a receipt for a customer refund?
If you have Bob Evans Sausage in your fridge or freezer that is dated June 1st 2023….THROW IT AWAY!
If you shopped at Walmart in the past 5+ weeks….check the dates on any meat products. Walmart only cares about the bottom line. The same 6 foot deep bottom that you will land in if you trust them to keep you & your family safe.
Absolutely disgraceful!
Incorrect pricing and very rude and incompetent staff. A can of coffee was $2 more than listed on the shelf. I told a employee about it & she shrugged her shoulders and walked away.
If they are in the middle of stocking shelves and you interfere with their work, you are usually greeted with a disappointed look and a "I don't know" response!
Update - 8/16/23
On 8/16/23, my daughter tried calling this store at 8:15 PM to confirm store hours and there was no answer. She then arrived at 8:35 PM to make a return. After waiting 15 minutes with no employees in sight, a employee then approached my daughter and told her that "sometimes the customer service department closes early".
Walmart customer service is supposed to stay open until 9:00 PM and NOT leave early whenever they want to. Really nice non-helpful customer service.
You can't file a complaint because Walmart does NOT answer their phones & store management is no where to be found.
8/17/23 - My daughter was in the dressing room while their phones rang off the hook. A lazy employee just stood there & did absolutely nothing.
*****Walmart Corporate states that they will report store issues to management.
Well that's pointless….because the management is the ENTIRE problem. (see emails 1 & 2.)*****
8/21/23
I exchanged (3) cans of defective non working Great Value brand disinfectant sprays.
I went back to the store shelf and the first 7 cans did not work. I then went back to the Customer Service counter and the employee put the (3) defective cans in a shopping cart that said: "Return to Stock".
Now….YOU will get them.
I have begged my family to STOP doing business with Walmart!
I just wish that for all these years that we shopped somewhere else!
There are much better & SAFER businesses to do business with!
I was really hoping for better, but unfortunately, the product quality was quite disappointing - it felt cheap and didn't live up to expectations. What made things even worse was the absolute nightmare of trying to get information on returns or resolve any issues. It seems impossible to get a clear answer or speak to a real person.
Quality seems to be on a steep decline. Online and in-store prices are a complete scam - you find a good price on the website only to find out it's different in the store. Staff don't honor the online price. Seemingly nonexistent customer service department, it makes it impossible to get a straight answer or a refund when things go wrong. The low prices are the only merit I can think of.
Just had a bit of rude experience while shopping in walmart. The staff was not very helpful in my inquiries
I had a humiliating and discriminatory experience at the Walmart on 103rd Street in Jacksonville. I was completely ignored, disrespected, and treated as if my concerns meant nothing. I presented valid proof and calmly asked multiple employees for help, but they dismissed me without any explanation or effort to resolve the situation. This wasn't just poor customer service—it was inhumane. No one should ever feel invisible or less than human while shopping. I am speaking up because staying silent only protects unacceptable behavior. I've attached my receipt and proof of what happened. I hope Walmart takes this seriously, because this should never happen to anyone else.
Customers are tired of having to wait in line for hours at a time while employees walk around the store ignoring people and running away before anyone can ask them a question. My last visit I was turned away and pointed in the wrong direction and it was humiliating. Never will I again go to this Walmart store again!
WALMART enrolled me in WALMART+ at self checkout that I never wanted and never used. My mistake not looking closer at my credit card statements but when I discovered I was being charged and called in to cancel they would only refund one month fee. Three chat sessions where I was told I would get credit for the other months within two days with no refund and then their refund department tells me they won't refund even though I never used or wanted it.
I have shopped at the Walmart on Ohio and 121 since I moved here about nine years ago. For the past 2 months I have been ordering online and paying extra to have them delivered because after my heart surgery in December I can't carry heavy packages up a flight of stairs anymore. Except for having to substitute some of my regularly ordered items it has been fast and easy. I always pay $5.00 to get the order within three hours, and I always give them at least a 10% tip, Tonight I ordered $148.60. Which is a small order for me. Andreina was my delivery driver and she text me on her cell asking for the gate code. I told her I didn't have the gate code, but if she would wait until the next car comes through as they come through quite often. She text back "Oh My God, OK" I told her I didn't appreciate being smart assed and that no one has ever had a problem delivering here before. She text back "You will receive soon" Then a text came saying they couldn't deliver my order.
I spent the better part of three hours calling different managers explaining my problem. One said it will be delivered early in the AM, Then another text after that saying they are cancelling my order... WTF? I am done with them all because of a smart mouth 20 something!
Walmart has sunk so low they're now actively preventing customers from seeing ratings and reviews on poorly-rated items. The star rating and number of ratings is visible on the search page, but all of a sudden when you click on the product and go to its specific page, there's no rating or section to leave a review. This appears to only be the case for items rated 2 stars or less. Absolutely disgusting scumbags at work.
I had a medication delivered to my home from Walmart located at ******* SW 127th Ave
Miami, FL *******
The driver, who does not speak English actually refused to leave the medication because I don't speak/understand spanish. I have a photo of the driver
Their prices in the store do not match the prices stated on the website. You go to the store and the prices are different. The staff disagreed with the online price, forcing me to either pay or order the item online. Never shopping here again.
Suspended, Deactivated, and Kicked out. Walmart will not allow me to log on to their website because of THEIR mistakes!
I did not receive all of my most recent order and asked for a refund because by the time Walmart responded, I had already purchased the item elsewhere.
They coupled that with an order that THEY themselves cancelled and with an order in which THEY sent the wrong size item.
So now I have (really they have) "violated their policy."
BE careful with this outfit because if THEY make a mistake, YOU will pay.
Goodbye forever because there are many many other vendors that know how to treat their customers.
The final dialog and outcome occurred from 03/18/2025 to 03/20/2025.
Prices are the only thing Walmart has going for them. Their service, hours, quality of meat and vegetables are all 3rd world lately. They start locking out doors and their obnoxious announcements (basically saying they want you out of their store) just a few minutes after 10:00 pm. Store was packed with customers trying to find products while negotiate around all the pallets blocking all aisles, the personal shoppers, and the stocking crew. I remember a day when I could come after midnight and quickly move the store for weekly groceries. I am hoping will get a new 24 hr grocery store out here in Saratoga Springs.
I don't support this Walmart at all management does nothing my wife was sexually assaulted At 8220 Dale Mabry tampa what she reported it to the store manager the store manager that have no guts to do the right thing all she did was put the gentleman that assaulted my wife at one end of the store and my wife at the other end She had no right to do that that gentleman or Walmart or associate should have been terminated on the spot now my wife fears for her safety while she's at work and the gentleman still in the building what kind of management is that but it's a poor excuse for a store manager how does Walmart allow this to happen when they have no tolerance policies for touching associates or verbal Harassment for all women out there I suggest don't work for Walmart because Walmart won't protect you for no reason at the end it's still a poor excuse for a manager not to fire that associate no excuse and I hope Walmart hire up people see this post because I'm not gonna stop talking about this all over the Internet
We arrived at 4:30 for our 5 o clock appt. We stood at the desk and waited 15 minutes before anyone came to help. After confirming our appt, they were unable to find the tires I ordered online. According to service tech, they should have been pulled earlier that day.
Side note, there was only one other car in the bay with about 5 employees in the garage. They finally got my truck in at 5:30 to start the process. One employee would work on changing and balancing my tires as 3 would watch. One employee decided to start a boxing match with a pile of tires. I guess they don't realize they are being watched through the glass.
This process took over an hour and a half. After being told the truck was finished, they proceeded to tell us they needed to do a figure eight out in the parking lot. This meant they were going to perform cheerios in the parking lot with my vehicle. The employee attempted this while the others watched. He was able to do this as my wife yelled "its in four wheel drive, please don't do that. They just laughed. Not to mention, coming close to hitting other cars in the parking lot. I'm sure its on their security cameras.
I live 108 miles from walmart so i always wanna make sure the items i need are in stock. They say they have one available to pick up. Well then they want to substitute a $250 item...Brand specific with something walmart brand.nope Why Bother. Then they hold your money up for 10 days when they have failed to provide the items they say they have in stock.
I wish I could give a 0 rating. There was no option for 0 star. I'm frustrated with the response I received from the Customer Care Team Members. I bought a Poo boo 4 in 1 exercise bike on 11/22/2024 thru Walmart online shopping. The product was delivered as expected date. However, while assembling the product some items were missing, and it was not perfect as anticipated. Eventually I had to return the product. On 12/15/2024, I called the Customer Care Service and talked with some of the Customer Care Team Members (CCTM). Mr. Mohammed (Agent - was not courteous/helpful) and Mohammad (CCTM Supervisor - not helpful either to resolve the issue). According to the email exchange between Nastassja, one of the CCTM (Agents), the carrier Estes was assigned to pick up the return products from my property and take it to Walmart Warehouse. After returning the product, I called every week to follow up regarding the refund. I had telcons with some of the CCTM Agents including the Supervisor Mohammad. I was not happy that none of the CCTM Agents were professional and did not help their valued clients. These guys are part of the problem not the solution. They should be given an appropriate disciplinary action (reprimand, suspend or termination from the employment). It's over two months and the bottom line is that I should get my refund of $158.99 immediately without further delay.
Through the Walmart website I ordered some products from Jiahong. I was told there was a three day delivery time. I should have received delivery on January 15 and it is 7:30pm on January 18 and no delivery. Apparently the product arrived at a FedEx location for delivery but Jiahong told FedEx not to deliver it. I have been working with both Walmart and FedEx and still have not received my order. On the Walmart website I just saw that even though their products seem ok, they have a 2.3 rating as a seller. Among their reviews the words delayed shipping occurs very frequently. I do not recommend buying anything from them.
A sign at the Walmart Pharmacy says making refills online is faster and easier. But when you try to login, it asks if you want to use a password or get a code. After selecting and using a password, the next screen requires a code, forcing the customer to open another window/browser tab and log into their email, which on a public computer is a security risk. (Then you still need a PIN to finish logging in.)
If you just take the prescription vial into the store, they refill the prescription WITHOUT even asking for ID.
It's bad enough that the prices are cheaper online... I can't understand how they can pay an employee to put something on the shelf, then pay to have someone get it from the shelf just to sell it cheaper.
AND it looks like "Contact Us" has disappeared from the website, just like it did from Amazon's website. Guess they don't want to hear from their customers.
So, found an item I wanted advertised for $59.99 online and went to store. They had one (or more) on the shelf (behind locked glass) with a shelf price of $99.99. Looked it up on my phone and, sure enough, says 'online price'. "Lead" at front desk says they won't honor the online price and won't 'price match'.
I can order online for same day pickup at the store, but I can't walk in and buy it at the reduced price. Walmart.com is willing to sell it to me for 'pickup', pay Walmart Associate (probably the same person that they paid to put it on the shelf) to get it and repackage it for 'pickup'... all at a lower price.
This is the second time this has happened to me. After getting home the last time, I cancelled my Walmart account and asked that my personal information be removed from their servers. Unfortunately, over the past month, I've gotten email requests for 'reviews' of purchases I've made - apparently Walmart did NOT delete my information AND THEY ARE TRACKING ME BY MY DEBIT CARD!
