My only experience would be you have to have good wifi in order for your service to go well and I do believe your location in the area of North Carolina determines how well you recieve text messages and missed calls with this service.
Great app for texting and call to Friends and family. I can call and text to America and Canada for free.

I was with TextNow for a decade (including years as a paying customer) and recommended them to everyone for years. One day, a few months back, my service was disconnected and the message I got was outright hostile. It actually accused me of fraud! Fraud? WTF? I clicked on the link that says that they would review this but never got a response. Any company who goes off making unsubstantiated (fraudulent?) accusations is as shady as they come. Bottom of the barrel. Avoid these people and their service.

It's a no brainer! I don't even need WiFi…. Ive had Textnow for some time now and have never had any issues whatsoever. Moreover, I even get 2 stage authentication texts…. Umm WOW!
Has flaws. This is perfect enough for me though. Gets the job done.
Hello I've been trying to get someone to help me I've got locked out of my account and I need my email address updated! This app is hobble and have no customer support :( I got locked out of my Apple ID and it removed my phone number my current phone number and you guys are going to get sued for this please :(

For WIFI calling it is the best I've come across. I use it as a secondary number.Maybe someday I'll use it as my primary. But I need WIFI for all my other needs in my home.
