I ordered my second Bril after the first one stopped holding a charge after almost two years of daily use. When I received my second one it held a charge for one use and then it stopped working. I have tried several times to contact Brill for a replacement or refund and have received no reply. I am very disappointed with their customer service.
It's a cheaply made product, looks like a $0.50 crap you can buy on Alibaba and Aliexpress, and it doesn't last long either. First one died within 6 months, second one lasted a bit longer than that. Definitely not worth $35+ for this crap... I'd give them $2 for these things if I ever had to buy these again, or grab some cheaper options from Aliexpress instead.

Bril uv sanitizer seemed to work well...for a few months and now it will not charge. Iconfirm that I followed their instructions so that is not the issue.Unable to get a response from customer service so I will probably have to just move on. At this point I do NOT recommend you buy this product

I was thrilled initially, I love UV sanitizing and this is lightweight, the charge lasted a long time and it has a built in magnet for easy organizing and the window allows assurance that the product is working. However- it only last 4.75 months. Very disappointing.

Won't charge anymore. Guess it is disposable? Bought 5 of these for Christmas'22 and none charge!
Solid red - left charging nothing works. No longer light to sanitize on all 5 I bought for family.
Great product up until now they are disposable.
Sorry about the trouble with charging. These devices have rechargeable batteries that do have a limited lifespan. The lifespan of the rechargeable battery will depend on how often the device is used and recharged. Please reach out to us directly to troubleshoot at service@sling.shop.
I got one for Christmas 2023. It's now Feb 13 and it won't charge. It just flashes red….plugged it in for days. I think I should get a replacement….the warranty says only 30 day warranty. Evidently, the company doesn't stand behind their product.

It worked fine at first, until the red light came on so I charged it for 24 hours and the red light didn't turn green. So I charged 10 more hours. It never was able to charge, I used a new block, and the wire in the bril box. Unsuccessful I was able to use for a short period of time.😕

Initially bought 3 and thought they were pretty good so I ordered several more for the family. Unfortunately, the second order took over a month because it was flagged at customs, so between the high exchange rate and the extra duty and taxes I was charged, they became way overpriced. I can only hope they last longer than many of the reviews I am reading.
Was told today by customer service that there's a one year warranty and the product is expected to last two years! Mine lasted 17 months and my son's 18 months. Disgusted that they refuse to replace my product. Was told to buy two more if I wanted to replace them. Why would I spend $85 every two years for a faulty, shabbily built product? Save your money and don't waste it by purchasing this product.

At a general level, there is ample data to show that UV-C wavelengths like those used in Bril, are effective for sterilization. Coli. Every single test showed at least 99.9% of the bacteria were neutralized. As you read about UV-C light, you may be concerned about the effects it can have on your skin and eyes. Part of what makes Bril a higher quality product, and contributes to the cost of production, is the fact that we specifically sourced medical grade glass, that doesn't allow the harmful UV-C waves through, for the viewing window. In short, if you can see the blue light on in your Bril, you can be sure that you are safe and the germs on your brush are not.

Answer: Martha, Addressing your question directly, no, the blue light not lighting does not mean the device is not working. Bril uses ultraviolet (UV) light to sanitize the toothbrush and the ultraviolet wavelengths are invisible to the human eye. Because of that, a regular blue LED light was added as a mere indicator. That means it's possible the UV light is still functioning fine even if the blue light has somehow stopped working. They are not one in the same. That being said, you should definitely contact customer service about your device and they'll take care of you.
