The company has garnered a mixed reputation, with significant concerns overshadowing positive experiences. Customers frequently report issues with booking processes, payment rejections, and unresponsive customer service, leading to frustrations and perceptions of a scam. Many reviews highlight a lack of transparency regarding terms and conditions, often resulting in unexpected fees and limitations on travel packages. Conversely, some customers have praised the overall quality of their trips and the value for money when services function as promised. However, the predominant sentiment indicates a need for improved communication and customer support to enhance trust and satisfaction.

I have attempted to book with Krystal Resort Cancun for a week now and I keep receiving message "transaction was rejected by gateway". I have tried several credit cards and email addresses, but I received the same message. I have tried on my laptop and both my wife's and my phone. I also had my son (located in another state) try to no avail. I spoke with a customer service representative, and he could not assist me or accept my payment. He advised that I could select another location that would take my payment directly (at twice the fee). I used your services in 2017 and ended up purchasing an even year plan with the Villas Group and I know this is a legitimate site. We want to tour the Krystal Resort, but I am suspecting this is not a legitimate location or this is a "bait and switch" to have your customers book a more expensive location. Funny that I see my name and location in the lower left of the screen saying that I purchased 18 hours ago "verified by proof" Obviously, this is not true and this needs to be resolved before I contact the BBB. If BookVIP contacts me to resolve this mater, I will be happy to delete of modify this review.
Im trying to contact customer service to book my vacation
But its been a week and nobody call me to help me to book my vacation
I avail ur promo package.and i want to use it now. And it shows u dont want me to use the promo that is already paid.
They now transfer you to an outside booking company that charges you a non refundable $100 white gloves service that u don't need if u ever booked anything you're self. They also charge you the resort fee upfront so you are force to book with them or you are screwed out of over $400. I really feel like I was taken advantage of and I will never use bookvip again.
I booked a roundtrip ticket using kayak.com and they sent me to kiwi.com. After several weeks I received a notification that my outgoing flight was changed for an earlier hour and and my incoming flight had been cancelled. They offered an option for a new flight that was five times the price of what the airline is advertising. After several messages back and forth nothing was resolved. Never again will I allow Kiwi.com to take care of my flight arrangements! NEVER AGAIN!
I do not recommended this website because I do not want to be hated for that recommendation.
I booked a trip through them about 7 weeks before our vacation. However, 5 days before the vacation, we were still struggling to find out which hotel and what room our reservation was for and could not find an answer. How stressful it is! Here are some main reasons I do not recommend BOOKVIP.
1. We saw their plan online and saw "free cancellation" then called them as required after payment. Then we were told we would not get full refund if cancel the trip, part of the payment will be held by them as "credit" to use later. So basically, it's not a lie about "free cancellation".
2. For part of the plan, we were obligated to attend a presentation to get the discount. It was said and written as a "2 hour presentation". However, it was 3 hours and a half, wasted a whole half day of our vacation. The product they tried to sell on the presentation was very expensive, we were not planning to purchase right there and then, the representatives just kept asking "why do you not plan to buy now" again and again after we told them "no".
3. We purchased and paid to Bookvip and another company named "Monster" called us back with our information to operate our reservation. They could not explain why, when we called Bookvip, Bookvip staff said they didn't know "Monster" and told us not to trust them. At the end, still "Monster" operated our reservation but in the middle, we had to make 20-30 phone calls and spent hours and hours to make things clear and go through, Bookvip didn't help NOTHING!
Above are the 3 main reasons that I do not recommend Bookvip without mentioning little problems such like they got the vacation dates wrong, got the room type wrong, etc. I think Bookvip could save 100 dollars on your vacation, however, the time you wasted on them really worth more than that. And if you do not pay 120% attention (like if we didn't find out they made our vacation dates wrong), they may ruin your vacation easily. By the way, their price does not include tax, so not really save that much.
We have used this company before and really enjoyed our trip BUT we just recently booked another future trip with them and my how things have changed for the worst! Queue hold times are over an hour every time I have called (which have been MANY MANY calls). After finding out to bring the rest of my family the price would more than quadruple, we canceled and the representative said we would be fully refunded and 3 weeks, I am still calling to get the 1 hour hold times to try to get my money back and they keep telling me they will forward to their manager or the accounting manger and promise to call me back and NEVER do! SCAM!
We have been calling for 3 days straight to use our paid trip. With no luck every time we call the call drops or there is no way to schedule. I just paid $400 for this trip. Horrible we can't even schedule our trip. Super frustrating
I booked my trip in 2021 and when I tried to confirm my stay after paying months earlier they said I had already went on the trip when I didn't. I was told they would call back after verifying with the hotel and they never did. This is a scale and I paid $300
I booked 2 vacation packages. The phone number listed on the website puts on hold for hours then an automated voice comes on and says to leave a message and someone will call back. I have been on hold for hours and I have left several messages but no one answered and no one called back.
I am disputing my charges.
James Colligan (one of the bookvip founders) is a scam artist and will steal your money. Don't fall for it, report these charlatans to the FBI, Florida attorney general, BBB, etc. You probably won't get your money back.

I booked a trip with them and it did not go anywhere. I called them about my reservation and they said it was going well. I called the hotel and they did not have anything with my name. I called back to bookvip and they said "have patience". I am two weeks away from my trip. Then a week before my trip and no reservation anywhere. I called and cancelled. They tried to explain that I signed a term contract. Well, the terms work both ways. They were suppose to have a concierge call me 15 days prior. No call, broken terms. We will see who wins on this game..
Don't trust these ppl O paid for a extension and they can't find it zi have been calling and trying to book for months they said I am expired I said no the asked for 50.00 more to extend it They hung up on me does anyone know of a attorney or lawsuit against these ppl I pd 200 dollars I am a senior on a fixed income Let's start a lawsuit against them they keep trying to avoid the code numbers they gave me someone please contact me on helping me get my vacation package or money back bad business don't trust these people
I prepaid for a vacation, supposedly you could pay installments and get it of and than take it when you could, in Toto of 715.00 in for a vacation to Cabo, we'll long story short we booked the dates we thought we could go, life happens and had to postpone vacation all this is going on with Covid also happening, anyways I called in to check on the status of our vacation so we could arrange dates to take it to find out that out of 715.00 394.00 was taken away for not using it in their time frame, plus they want me to pay another 100 to reinstate the little bit they didn't steal. I'm in process of reporting them to every business and government agency that controls travel, with vivid the resort was unavailable for a good amount of time in that period where as we couldn't travel or they were closed in that period. Nobody ever called to say your about to loose your vacation would you please take it or we could extend it for you for 100 at full 715 value, they didn't call me at 1/4 of its value I still had to call them. They are rip off artist I should've know better to book with a shady company, well hopefully nobody who reads this will make same mistake oh yea they also don't mention in their advertising it's a time share your involved, which even makes less sense of them canceling as I can go on a tour if I have Bo vacation period! BOOK "POS"
Do not use I purchased a package and then paid to upgrade to 5* and then it said upgrade for a bonus 5 days at another resort but when I tried scheduling both they said that was not right I just booked 5 bonus days at an inclusive resort not additional package but that's not what it reads like
Last year, we had booked a vacation with them which was SUPPOSED to be at Villa del Palmar. They changed it at the last minute to Krystal Cancun, which was horrible. They called me and offered me the original vacation if I would take my reviews down. We agreed, and when we went to book this year, they said no, not for that resort. They booked us at the Oasis, which we have stayed at before, but when we went to check in, it was the downgraded Oasis (there are several Oasis). We have decided that we will no longer book with this company, as they cannot keep there word. I will repost the other reviews again so you know what you are getting into.
We booked our trip over a year ago with them for 6 days/5 nights for the Villa del Palmar. We chose that one specifically because of the room which is large with a jacuzzi, kitchenette, living area, etc. It also has many bars and restaurants to choose from. When we called to get dates, they said we could not stay there because we knew the other couple we were traveling with. They had their own separate booking. They said the only one we could stay at was Krystal Cancun. I argued my point of separate bookings and that this place/package was $100 cheaper than what we paid. I asked for a comparable room at Krystal and they said they only had the one type of room, nothing better. I asked for spa credits or activity credit to make up the difference. No. They were rude and uncompromising. Had we known where they were sending us, we would've just asked for a refund and booked with another company, but we did not know, and chose to try to just make the best of it. BIG Mistake! This place was a massive disappointment with all the a/c issues, elevator problems, leaking toilets and faucets, rusted out plugs, filthy floors, etc. 2 of the only 3 bars close at 6pm, the food was gross, the water full of seaweed, and the 1 hot tub wasn't hot and never had any jets on. What a joke this place was. You could hardly get service at the 1 swim up bar although you might be the only one waiting. There were so many things wrong and subpar here, and Bookvip is responsible for ruining the great vacation we booked with them well in advance. We deserve a refund. We will certainly look for another booking agent next year!
BookVIP is a legitmate company but what a HUGE hassle to book. Finding the date that we wanted at our desired property was impossible. Literally. They only offered us ONE date in the next YEAR that we could travel. We agreed to switch resorts and then they proceeded to tell us about the extra TAXES and FEES and RESORT FEES and GRATUITIES that we would have to pay. Yes, you can save money if you want to endure all of the details and you want to endure the timeshare pitch but it simply wasn't worth it for us..
SCAM ALERT!
Make you pay upfront then you have to call them to set up the dates but will tell you the dates are not available or you can only check in on either Tuesdays or Fridays. Then proceed to tell you you have to attend a 120 minutes presentation for the deal. If you say okay, they will then ask you how much you make, if you have a credit card, are you married, your age. Then they will find some reason to deny your package. My reason was this deal is only qualified for people above 30 years old. (Then why wasn't this mentioned before I paid $300?) so I said I wanted a refund 5 times (each time the person will ask me a different question to change the topic) before the person put me on hold without telling me anything. I hung up, called again, it's a different person but they knew right away who I was instead of trying to look up my reservation number. Said I will get a refund within 21 days.
THIS IS A SCAM!
Title says it all. I bought a 12 night dream escape. Turns out the promotions don't allow you to stay 12 nights. 4 days at the most, so 3 resorts 6 months apart. You also can't get money back if you change your mind. You have only 72 hours to refund you purchase, so they lock you in by telling you you have 24 or 18 months to use it, but you bly 72 hours to refund. You also can't book I the USA, every location I select in USA is unavailable. Then I was informed they prefer you go international. They goal here is to get you to spend money in mexico. The resort I attempted to visit had 2 bedroom villas for up to 8 people, I have 3 kids, so I need to book for 5. But the promotions only allow 4. So this entire website is a scam. They take your money, get your hopes up and make up policies to prevent you from traveling. I do not recommend it.
