I was scammed by Writers Tree.

I'm a retired CPA specializing in IRS audits and appeals. I advised thousands of clients over 50 years to avoid being scammed. Then I found myself scammed!

I needed assistance in publishing the second edition of my book on " How to Avoid IRS Audits." I chose Writers Tree after reading their claim as the #1 Top Book Writing Company and glowing reviews of 4 and 5 stars. Then, my nightmare began.

I hired and fully paid them in June 2023. It's now January 2025 and they have not published my book. What they did, however, was annoy me with unending sales pitch to buy extra services. My wife advised me to stop dealing with them when she noticed that I was constantly arguing with them to stop bugging me.

I dug deeper into reviews and found that they were rated with 1 or 2 stars. How they received glowing reviews, I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised that they were fake reviews. Even their names are fake. Their HQ address is fake. I found reviews that they operate out of Pakistan.

I lost money from sales during the 2024 tax season and had to visit my doctor for elevated BP from stress from their constant strong arm tactics.

I'm now lodging a complaint with the Attorneys General of the states of California where I live and New York and Florida where they claim to be headquartered. I'd love to connect with Jennifer R of Charlotte NC and Liza M of San Ramon who are also lodging complaints wit the Attorneys General of NY, FL, CA, NC.

I'm a conservative professional and careful businessman but I still fell for these scammers. They're great at scamming, poor at helping their customers. They were relentless in aggressively selling extra services but did not care about publishing my book. Do yourself a favor. Do not hire Writers Tree. You'll be sorry.

I have a great book, but I soon realized I had a bad publisher. They never read my book and never provided any editing or suggestions! They are a 100% scam. I got taken advantage of by their 100% guarantee! Nothing but a lie!

EDIT: I have posted on several platforms, the same answer for each platform by Writer's Tree. However, they still have failed to reach out to me, refund is not processed even though contract states 100% refund if dissatisfied (money back guarantee per contract)! They only write their review statement and go on about like nothing occurred.

I recently hired this company (two months ago) and finally book has been published. However, they published it incorrectly. The books size was 8.5x11 instead of 6x9. The back cover writings were spelled incorrectly. There was no ISBN number on first draft, even though contract states they get them for me. Then when they had to republish, I was gaslighted, emails and text messages went unanswered and they refused to publish it again as they made the error. When I asked for a refund that made matters worse. Then they approached me, without publishing the book and wanted 4K to help market the book. When I said "No, if you can't get the job done the first time, how can I trust you now." I was officially gaslighted. My book has had several hands in the pot (Harry, Corrina and Mary) not including the manager Van. This has been a nightmare ordeal with them and I have to take my book elsewhere for editing, proper formatting and a new book cover. Don't waste your money here.

Have access to 4 platforms, still missing 2 and what ever the last $100 they syphoned from me. $350 for an ISBN that other publishers do for free. They are Also According to a Literary Source that had knowledge of them and others like them. Located In Pakistan. Not using their real names is very possible. The office on their sites addresses probably a mailing hub or international communications hub of some kind. Everything they say has one goal. Separate you from as much of your money as possible. When You see the work they do you will realize you were Lied to and ripped off. They Don't care. Also. READ UP ON RECOGNIZING FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS! Theirs fit the bill. Trust them and you will wish you hadn't! I DO!
