For the last 6 hours they have been saying it's supposed to be dry and cloudy.it has been POURING for the entire 6 hours and they have yet to update there report. Embarrassing
I've been using The Weather Network for years, decades really. But they forced this really crappy new beta format on me a few weeks ago and I'm done. It is absolutely useless. I'm looking for other options. Yahoo maybe.
Absolute waste of taxpayers money!
The only thing weather network is interested in is selling advertising and bombard the website users!
Government should cut funding and save taxpayers a billion $!
What a waste of taxpayer money!
Cant trust the weather network! Example • june 16 am, web site says clear and sunshine, i live there and it's completely overcast and pouring rain!
Tax money hard at work paying useless companies!
I use TWN daily to keep track of what's coming up weatherwise, plus winds and so on. They kept pushing their Beta site to test out, but I never did click it. Yesterday I'm suddenly forced to use the new site and it's just garbage IMO. Nothing but a page full of text boxes that I make me dizzy trying to read what the weather is going to be. They had a simple format that showed it hourly for up to 4 or 5 days, so easy to plan around what bad weather might be coming. Now you can't even figure out what day's weather you are looking at if you scroll down past the current day/time.They only list the date at the top of the boxes starting at midnight (in small print), so by the time you get to mid-morning you are lost. Will have to just find something else now.
I liked being able to glance at the forecast for the week to get a quick overview. But this new format puts so much info into each day of the 7 day forecast that a quick glance is now impossible. For instance I don't really care what the wind gusts will be in the evening 5 days from now, but it's now listed! What was condensed into one screen has been now been so broken down into so much unnecessary detail as to become just convoluted.
Your update is a complete fail. One used to be able to see the weather at a glance (either hourly or for the next week), now it's a complete dump of data that is very difficult to read. Does no one test the usability of a new format? Go back to the drawing board! In the meantime I have switched to weather.com
The weather network changed their website today, so it now looks like their piece of garbage app on a computer. All the graphs and charts are gone, making it impossible to see predicted weather trends easily. The whole site is now completely worthless.
I used to like seeing the hourly forecast at a glance, or the 7 day at a glance...now it is just horrible. Blue on blue is awful, scanning across the page is horrible, scrolling and trying to see what you want is horrible. The new format is a complete waste. Even if the predictions weren't perfect, at least it was easy to read the old format. Terrible change.! If I could give it ZERO stars, I would.
What a shame! For very many years, I've been relying on the weather network for forecasts, and never felt any need to switch. Unless the old format is brought back very soon, I'm gone for keeps.
Overall, the weather network has been slowly declining in the ability to actually forecast the weather. All special attention briefings for extreme storms and life-threatening heat. We are all tired of the use of scare words.
That keep alot of people afraid and anxious. I am now looking for a better weather information provider.
Answer: Because there is so much bad weather that they do not want to put you in any more of a depression than you are already in. The only place in Canada where you can get the Four Season blaas
