Are your kids dino-nuts? Dorset, England has hosted the Dinosaur Museum for 25 years. Apparently listed as a top 10 UK family museum in 2006, it is located just a few miles from the 'Jurassic Coast' – a World Heritage site in southern England, famous for fossils. From the pictures, the museum appears to be quite small.
If you can visit, Dorset is a beautiful part of England.
If you can't visit, the website (http://www.thedinosaurmuseum.com/) should give your kids a fair selection of dino facts to help with their homework assignment. It's not a huge website or especially well organised, but for younger students it might be useful and interesting. The shop (http://www.thedinosaurmuseum.com/dinosaur-shop.html) offers a variety of dino-tat for sale (maybe that's unfair – I know some kids who REALLY NEEDED those plastic dinos and would have loved the welly boots and hats!)
