I scheduled a pavilion for a single day, a hurricane is coming to our area on that day. The website was giving me the option to reschedule, but never gave me the option for a new date. I cancelled in order to move the reservation to the following weekend, which it wouldn't let me do. It just cancelled. I didn't receive a refund and could not get my reservation back, even though I called Reserve America immediately for their help. I've lost out on the reservation and my money and "there's nothing they can do about it", even though a hurricane will be here on that particular day.
I wanted to change my site at campground. Found out I couldn't because I already reserved the site I was in. Can't change sites unless you do it before you arrive?what kind of crap is that? I couldn't even cancel my reservation and return to campground! I was stuck in my site regardless what I did! Reserve America sucks! Campground no help either!
Why is it that at every State Park I have visited supervisors and employees say they do not like, Did NOT want, and would love to rid the system of "Reserve America" taking control of reservations. All say things ran smoother when each individual State Park had complete control of their individual park.
So, to me I ask Who is really in control here? Another political corrupt system?
System stinks! In more ways than one!
Reserve America has a written policy for equestrian campers that if trails are closed by the state park the day before or day of your reservation, you can change your reservation to a different date or location and the 4 day advance notice will be waived. This happened to us over the 4th of July weekend. When I attempted to change online, it wouldn't let me. After several attempts through phone contact, I was told they couldn't make the change either. So rather than have them cancel and rebook with charges as they suggested, I canceled on line. This cost me 2 nights camping fees and the cancelation charge. Very disappointed in this service.
One of the the WORST experiences while camping. The staff over policed and made you feel like you are a criminal for every little thing. They don't offer electricity so we got a generator. They told us the hours the generator can run which we abided by. They STILL harassed us every day about it. They did not allow us to do the baby fireworks on July 4th, threatened to kick us out. They told us we could not have our dogs in the RV while hiking up the waterfalls. Horrible management and staff. I felt like they were watching our every move. Do not camp here!
ABSOLUTE worst customer service. I have requested help on numerous occasions. Was always given the standard response that I would be contacted within 48 hours to assist in resolving my issue. AND never received any response or even so much as an email, text or voice call! It's no wonder your company only has a customer satisfaction survey of 1.13!
We are seniors who travel by wandering. We almost never reserve campsites ahead because we don't know when we will move on. We often stay only one night. When we are forced to use reserveamerica.com, the reservation fee increases the cost of our campsite, usually by 30% and 50%.
For people who plan a week of camping and make their reservations, the fee isn't a huge deal, but we could end up spending $200 a month on fees.
Maybe there could be a $30 yearly maximum for us seniors?
I booked a campsite through the website at Shelter Cove in Oregon. The picture of the campsite was not real. Maybe one of the campsites looked like that, but not the one I booked EVEN THOUGH THAT WAS THE PICTURE SHOWN! Instead, we got a spot with 6' between us and our neighbors on both side. Not happy with this invalid information.
When I went to cancel my reservation they wanted to charge me $17.50 fee plus $24.00 (one night fee). So out of the $56.00 it cost me for the weekend my refund would have been $15.25. Shadey at best in my opinion. Avoid this company if at all possible.
I tried calling but they are closed during hours the bot says they're open, and the 24/7 help page is broken. Can't reach anyone. I'm trying to reserve a site that is open year round but reserve america shows they are closed year round.
Answer: No site says 7$ but it's actually whatever they want to charge mine was 15$. And when you ask about it they just hang up on you.
