Not sure how or why, but I created an account to start taking my photography and post photo editing hobby a bit more seriously. And I find after a couple of weeks away I am banned as I am a fake account? Tried to resolve it and find it is absolute... despite going through their induction verification, they deemed me a fake...
I see now what other reviews are saying, they have their favourites and unless you are female and prepared to be naked, they dont want you.
Avoid at all costs!
A well designed ship with a dysfunctional captain and crew.
They taint the site with personal involvement very much like all the popular failed modelling sites before them. I was a member in the early days... I eventually called the owner a C... for not only buying a competitors. Com domain name but also my. Com after I left the site in a bad cloud. Yes they routed it to purpleport as a joke I presume. There's a nasty core in pp full of favouritism and sexual impropriety with models that goes right to the top and ridding of perfectly respectable photographers with cheap gossip. It's there way or the highway... let's all hope they hit that iceberg real soon.
I have been a Purple Port member for six years, as designerphotography.
It is an excellent site with great photographers and good models. Because of its excellent reputation the site has grown considerably over the years, so occasionally you might find someone masquerading as someone they are not. However, admin do a brilliant job weeding these non desirable's out.
The site has a lot of functions and analytics so you need to take time to get to know how the site works and would always recommend a newcomer gets advice on how to make the site work for them.
One of the most important aspects of the site is its peer review system allowing you to see the reviews left for photographers or models by others on the site who have already worked with them.
Highly recommended
Purpleport is a great networking site for Photographers, models and studios and the more you use it the better it becomes. Purpleport is more like a community who support and encourage people to achieve their aims. It is easy to use ans well regulated to keep everyone safe. Top marks
The best site by far for photographers and models, I am both, I have been on the site for five years and had exceptional service and worked with many photographers and models to produce many scintillating images,
PurplePort is the first place I go to look for models and studios to suit my projects.
Some of the best in the business are here.
People post events and tours regularly which is great for finding new people to work with too.
At first I was dubious about a company like this, that had models/photographers/muas/etc meeting after the warning of don't meet strangers off the internet' from my parents, but Purpleport have done something fantastic here, bringing together likeminded, creative individuals to make some amazing pieces of art. I am completely satisfied and happy with the safety that this company has brought in to protect everyone, with all their articles on how to keep safe, and showing references on pages! Recently bought my VIP membership and can't wait to expand my portfolio more and work with even more great people!
I joined this site almost 3 years ago and I have nothing but praise for it as I have never had any problems. I have met some amazing models, photographers and worked in some fabulous studios. Highly recommended
After hastily signing up I went back and read the reviews, then proceeded to cancel my pending approval. I deleted my images and received an almost immediate email stating I didn't have an images uploaded. I commented that I wish to withdraw my application. Received another email "sorry to see you go". Then came the third email:
We're sorry to say that your application to join PurplePort.com was rejected.
Your images and your account have been deleted from our systems.
You can apply again at any time. It's likely that your application was rejected for one or more of the following reasons:
Not good enough portfolio notes.
Images that were too small or of too low quality to be useful.
Images that were inappropriate for PurplePort.com.
I withdrew because of the negative reviews and feedback I was getting about them. As I stated, a joke.
Lies, overpaid amateur models with no contract of works, faked professional models paid in cash to hide the hobby of rich pensioners to their wives thanks to purpleport.
This sort ofcwebsoted should be shut down for respect of taxpayers andpeople paid fairly in the modeling industry
Lies arrived up to trustpilot
Answer: In my opinion the cheaper site I have looked at don't have such an enthusiastic membership
Answer: It has the widest range of models that seem to be serious about what they do. The revue system works well and both unreliable photographers and models are soon flagged up
Answer: No way this could in some ways paint a false picture and possibly a kind of commercial bullying.
PurplePort has a rating of 2.6 stars from 31 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. PurplePort ranks 1st among Modeling sites.
