Unpleasant and unprofessional staff. Extremely bad attitudes and zero customer service skills. I'd rather wait a year for a generator to be in stock and delivered than deal with this company that has many other bad reviews.
Look elsewhere! I ordered a large generator from Norwall. Two days later, before I even received my generator, they ran a special (10% = $639). I asked them to honor that price and they refused. I sent a formal letter to their CEO, got no response. I called him for an answer and never got a return call. No integrity found here. Look elsewhere.
I ordered a generator in Jan, 2021. Supposedly it was sent from Champion on the 8th of March. It is now 4/2/21. Shipment still in Texas. Contacted Norwall Power Systems by phone several times over the last 2 weeks. No one from Norwall could tell me anything about my order, when i would get it. So today 4/2/*******@10:52am I ended up talking to a Manager Sharon D *******@norwall.com. She was very rude. She said I have 2 choices, "1) I could continue to wait for my shipment, 2) they could order me another" understanding it could take another 3 months plus another month for shipping. I said which way would be the fastest for me to receive it? Under her Breath, she said "some people are so difficult" I said "yes some people are" she said, "I didn't ask you that, I gave you 2 options, now you have 3, you can get a refund" this Manager is the worst I have ever dealt with. I choose option 3 Refund, but I have yet to receive it. I have file a complaint through the Better Business Bureau BBB
I wrote a review on their site - Norwall passed it on to the manufacturer but didn't post it. It wasn't even a lame 1 star review, it was 3 stars and detailed. I followed up with them multiple times on why my review wasn't posted but didn't get an answer other than we'll have IT look into it.
I payed for my generator in aug. And it was free shipping that now im paying $150 extra now and they just now they say its a 6 month wait before they even ship it out? That's a bunch of crap. How do you tell a customer it will be 6 months out. DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY i will be lucky to not be fired over this
I wanted to order a new Generac 14K generator. I called to make sure that the "In Stock" was true and was assured it was. The shipping time was to be between 1 and 14 days. After 15 days I called and e-mailed them a number of times. That was 3 weeks ago! I finally told them to cancel my order since I hadn't heard anything. NO RESPONSE! NO PHONE CALL OR E-MAIL. Just total silence! What a way to lose customers fast. I ordered a smaller set from another company and it was shipped the SAME DAY! I love the Generac LP powered generators and recommend them. Just get it somewhere else!
WARNING! BEWARE if you're thinking about purchasing a generator from Norwall. I ordered a whole house generator, but there was hidden damage on the back portion of the lid. I was told by Norwall staff that the box covering could be removed by sliding if off from the top to fully inspect. That was not the case. Instead, a thick wooden crate was attached to the box using industrial staples and nails. If you want to find any concealed damage, Norwall expects you to PRY away the wooden crate using a hammer, heavy screw driver, crow bar, and utility knife, while the delivery carrier waits (about 20 minutes are so). Doesn't matter if the box is ripped up and the wood frame is destroyed. Norwall considers this a reasonable expectation for the customer to inspect the unit. The sales manager was rude and unprofessional. Replacing the lid (around $300) for a $3,800 generator for other companies would be good business practices, not Norwall. So BEWARE! Rip that crate open and inspect! You've been WARNED!
Well I tried my best to keep my cool on this, but after weeks of no return phone calls, e mails I finally got to talk to the owner WOW just like talking to anyone else there, IF you order ANYTHING from them and have to return it you automaticly get dinged a 20% or more restocking fee, they even admitted is was there screw up doen't matter so held back $208.41 out of the $748.25 I was to get back.
I even went as far to turn in a complaint to the AG's Office of Arizona they side with Norwall so just don't even thing of buying from them. The End!
Yep as many more have posted on here or Yelp or How many other reviews, I called Norwall Power Systems back in March 2021 to order a Kohler Auto Transfer Switch as was not sure what to order so I talked with one of there EXPERTS as it say's on there web site, yep that EXPERT told me the one to order as I did, After waiting from End of March to End of May 2021 I finally got my ATS. My Electriction comes to install it gee guess what it's the wrong one not compatiable with my 2012 Kohler 20 res w/rdc controller. So now the fun starts NOT yep NO CUSTOMER but there isn't any The Manager told me pretty much to bad you ordered it, I said yes I did with your EXPRETS help, her responce he no longer works here, I said so! It's the wrong one and needs to go back so PLEASE send me return Label and Send me a refund, Norwall NO can't as you installed it on your house well DUH he was going to hook it up WTF! So there has no answered Phone messages or emials that I have sent over the last 2 weeks, So yep out $784.00 dollars plus Time for my Electriction. So BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.
Our experience with Norwall power systems was not what we expected. We paid well in advance. About $11k in advance. They were supposed to ship to SAIA in Laurel, Md. And we would pick the generator up at their dock without a 3rd party shipper. Norwall messed up the whole delivery by not filling out the bill of lading correctly. The generator ended up going to a 3rd party shipper anyway. The 3rd party shipper DID NOT have a long fork forklift, so they could not load our trailer from the rear of the trailer. They wanted to set the generator on stacked pallets, then push it into our trailer! Total Fred Flintstones at RDX Freight! This is exactly what we were trying to avoid. Norwall customer service today 3/25/20 was unbelievably rude, in so many words blaming ME for trying to inspect the delivery ( in their invoice legal baloney, they tell you to inspect the delivery and it's contents, like the fright container in comes in. Today they said you can't do that. Lots of double talk in the invoice wording)) and the prime shipper for the shipping problem, and then tried to chastise me by giving me a lesson in logistics syntax... when the bottom line is, it was Norwall who made this mistake all along. End of story. Totally unapologetic, basically it was my fault not theirs. Once you send your cash to Norwall you are pretty much on your own. If you are shopping price, their prices are good, if that's all you need. If you also need customer service and like to deal with nice people, you won't be happy doing business with these people. They are absolutely not friendly, held harmless for everything and anything, rude and the customer service is non-existent.
Oh yea they started to add an extra freight charge to their "free freight" advertising, but don't tell you upfront. Do business with them at your own risk.
Answer: They have a large web presence. We fell for the image they projected. It was not what we expected. In reality they are just a drop shipper. They don't have any stock. Kohler products that Norwall sells comes from Kohler warehouses.
Answer: I went with Lowe's instead. Same price, even a Rakuten shopping benefit. Even better? No nasty people.
