I've been renting from Knetbooks for the past year and a half. I've never had any issues. I plan to continue using this company for school textbook rentals.
I have rented from here before, book came in great condition. Easy to search by ISBN, I will continue to rent.
Shipping is alright and products are alright. The most recent one I received is a little worn down but I can use it just fine so there isn't an issue. Overall pretty neutral
Great service and delivery! I loved that there was a rent option because the cost of textbooks is pretty high at my school bookstore, and I only needed it for a semester.
Didn't ship as per written policy. Although ISBN numbers were correct the book that arrived was not the current edition (2024) as described and advertised. They shipped the older edition. I could've bought the older edition locally for 1/4 what I paid. Communication sucked and they refused a return or partial reimbursement. Now I have an out of date edition that I can't sell next semester. Spend you money elsewhere.
Knetbooks website provided an easy experience to search for and purchase the books needed for my classes. The new quality books arrived sealed, clean, and as described. Shipping was timely too! Best of all, Knetbooks offered the lowest prices, even beating Amazon!
I thought I would be ready for class on time in the middle of Jan. When I ordered books in Dec. But I still haven't received my full order. I only received part of it and it shows that my other book keeps getting shipped from hub to hub all around and so close to my house. Very disappointed on their shipping process.
I returned a book in fine condition, its a used book after all, but was told it is now unusable and was charged for the book. When I asked for explanation on why it is unusable, they ghosted me. Of course will never use them again.
I ordered a textbook, but within an hour, found it cheaper somewhere else. So I reached out to customer service to cancel the order. They tell me I can't cancel the order because it's too new and "not in their system for 3 hours." So I wait at least 3 hours and reach out again to cancel. This time, they tell me that the order has already shipped so they can't cancel it. The label had been created but the order hadn't shipped. They told me I would just have to return the book when I received it and they would issue a refund once they got it back. It took 3 weeks for the book to arrive despite their website saying 5-7 day shipping or whatever. And now I have to go through the hassle or sending the book back because there's apparently only a 20-minute window in which you can cancel an order.
I sent the book back in exact condition I got it and they charged me $170 for a replacement. I'm a nursing student getting my second degree and have rented books for years, knet books is the worst company I've ever worked with.
I ordered the book the day my professor told us to. The delivery time on the website said 8-10 days, but my friend and I who ordered the same book at the same time are still waiting over 14 days later. A five dollar discount was not worth waiting this long.
Answer: Infinity, because you will never receive it. And if you do receive it, it comes damaged and then when you try to return your rental that try saying the original damage is your fault and charge you a ridiculous price for a small damage that had already come with it. Or sometimes several pages are missing.
Answer: Hi Tatum, We do allow some highlighting in our rentals but we ask that you dont highlight excessively. If you return the rental back to us with over one-third of the text highlighted, we may have to mark the book as damaged. Highlighting can be distracting for future renters and we may not be able to add an overly-highlighted book back into our inventory. Consider using page flags to mark an important sentence. Flags can help you easily get back to the page you need. Page flags are also small enough that they can be used multiple times on the same page. Plus, they are really easy to remove from the textbook before you send it back at the end of the semester. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
Thank you for choosing Knetbooks!
