Constellation Energy is a 3rd Party provider which handles accounts second to primary companies like MetEd OR Penelac (in my local area).
They offer an "annual low rate" (which only carries for a month or two) with a promise of a 25% "rebate" at the end of a contract; then the company hikes rates anyhow & (after being bamboozled into "fines & early cancellation fees") DOES NOT send a refund AT ALL once the annual contract is complete.
Another note to consider for the reader of this review is how this company's operators call & ask:
"Is this (so & so) & this the number to the address; which is (so & so)?"
By answering "YES" 3 times, in the call; these operators commandeer an account & force the call recipient into a contract electronically.
A SCAM.
Rates for electricity were averaged at one time by MetEd to be 8cents a kWH by default (without a carrier to solidify rates; as they tend to rise & fall by as much as 4cents a kWH throughout the year); yet Constellation starts out a claim of 6.5cents a kWH...raising it to around 14cents within 2 or 3 months.
Where is that "annual low rate"?
Where is that 25% refund?
Why has this company NOT been investigated for fraud?
Probably a pocket-filler, insider-trader & "profit-maker" for certain crooked "elites" is why.
Wouldn't surprise me if it was.
My last suggestion (if you receive a call from their switchboard operators) is to IMMEDIATELY cut them off, ask the operator who requests info (IF they are) from Constellation...& THEN...IMMEDIATELY HANG UP ON THEM.
