As someone who worked for Comfort Keepers for a few months, as a veteran with integrity and standards, I quickly realized that this is not the type of company I would be associated with nor would I ever place a family member in their care. The owner of this franchise,Joy Holte, lacks integrity and quite dishonest, especially when it comes to the care of their clients and the money they charge. The office staff were quite aggressive with family members and created an uncomfortable situation, but thankfully I stepped in and mediated the situation with the client and prevented the company from getting fired. At the end of the day, this franchise bottom line is to get paid, but the attitude they have towards their clients and how they go about it is appalling. There is a HIGH turnover rate with this company, and they turn a blind eye to their staff members coming in on their shift smelling like alcohol and weed. It's ignored because they are desperate to fill shifts. They have a hard time keeping staff because they aren't treated well—comfort keepers is dishonest with staff pay, and they often mess with the schedule, leaving the staff quite upset and frustrated. I have personally watched unhappy and unsatisfied staff member attend to their vulnerable clients in a very apathetic and indifferent manner. There are many other companies available in this area to choose from. Even if this was my last choice, I would prefer a facility stay before I hired this company. I put my two weeks notice in after only 4 months on the job. Best of luck to you all in your search for quality care for your family.

This place of business is terrible Michelle and Helen just try to get money out of you. The employees will not do anything except fall asleep leave early yet they will charge you the full time. But if you talk to Helen she will argue with you the whole entire time and lie about her employees Employees clocking out at the correct time however we do have a ring doorbell to see what time they came in and left. Stay away from this company They are a crap show and take advantage of the elderly.

They try to be the best, to be successful. To be the best they can be. Unfortunately the company is plagued with unorganization, miscommunication and a pocketful of discrepancies within and without the company, employees and employers. I will leave it at that. And there are no incentives for workers, no rewards for employees who work hard and fulfill empty voids in their client's lifes. But they do get something extra special for Christmas. Don't do it started the job got 24 hours the next week I get a email on the app that there are limited hours I got 5 hours the next week and paid 40.00 for a background check and got a call for cpr class which they said they paid for but nope told cost was 87.00 and I had to take it no hours second or 3rd week how was I going to pay for that class I was brand new to care giving sent me on my first job with no training it was a nightmare never work the 3rd or 4th week cause their were no hours no commucation with them wrote emails never a response back I quit after a month I was so frustrated they never did anything they said they were going to do I felt like it was all about money that I was not making I spent 40 dollars for clothes and 40 for background check money I didn't have spend

My chief complaint has to do with the advertising of this company. The company state how good or beneficial it is to help your love one. THIS IS NOT A TRUE STATEMENT. I will give you some of my personal examples:

1. Sent people who dropped my wife several different times, sustaining many bruises as the result from drop. Fire Dept. was called to help my wife from the floor. (She only weighs 120 lbs.)
2. Missing items such as pain medication, money, jewelry, and new checks; which I had to put a stop on.
3. Dress code very unprofessional, shorts, stained clothing, very sloppy.
4. Many times would show up late making it difficult for me to get work on time. Employee's would have to leave early; therefore I would have to leave work, because they could not get a substitute. This happened on more than one occasion. I had to accommodate their work schedule with mine by 30 minutes. Sometimes the employees wouldn't show up and had to call off work because they wouldn't answer the phone.
5. I was always concerned if a background check was done on the employees.
6. Unqualified staff
7. My complaints fell on deaf ears.

My resolution to this complaint would be to stop advertising that your company is caring. My wife and I did not experience this at all.
