Delivery arrived today Wednesday 29th of May. Checked the items and they are the best. Tried every where for 120 volt 100 watt and 150 watt bulbs, couldn`t get them anywhere, then went on to the Bulb America website and got what was needed. The bulbs are for a current limiter for powering up AA5 (All American 5) vacuum tube AM radios. Happy with purchase and would highly recommend Bulb America as a business, thanks very much. Thank you.

I ordered 32 very small, two-prong LED bulbs from BulbAmerica recently. I ordered double the number I would need so that in the future I could easily replace them. I paid over $150 for these bulbs; it was more than I would have liked, but their shipping was high for a smaller order, so I didn't want to do multiple orders. I figured since they were LED, they would last forever.

Boy was I wrong. Three to four weeks in, more than half of the Chinese-made bulbs had failed: switching on and off or simply going out. Six weeks in and I've exhausted all the replacements. Half the lights are empty sockets now (since I've removed them), and several of the remaining ones barely produce any light.

I previously had incandescent bulbs for these lights instead, although I prefer LED. There were no issues with those, and they lasted a surprisingly long time.

I thought BulbAmerica would do some measure of quality control for the brands they stock, but they clearly don't. I suspect in reality they're actually just a drop shipping company.

No surprise, BulbAmerica refused to stand by their product. They said that since the product arrived at my home and it was outside their warranty period, they had no responsibility for the outcome. What they don't tell you is that their bulbs might fail right around the time their warranty ends.

As a side note, the reason I ordered 32 is because they wanted nearly $20 to ship a box of 16 very small bulbs. This box easily fits in your palm and would actually cost about $5 to ship.

Don't buy from them.

I purchased several light bulbs on separtea occassions and then needed to return the ones not needed. What a continued fiasco and cannot get a swift resolution to the matter. Multiple phone calls, no one answers, refunds are not applied even after tracking indicates the return has been received and the list goes on and on. What a nightmare and then the gal tells me that you have to call to request your refund? What the heck is up with that crap...so just how many people have been scammed by this outfit? If you don't file a fraud dispute with your credit card company good luck ever seeing your refund applied. Unbelievable and I will file with the BBB as well. This outfit needs to be gone!

Truly unhappy with policies and underhanded tactics of this company. I ordered lamps and paid for overnight shipping. Because my order went in 1 minute after the deadline for overnight, my actual overnight was the next day and because they don't ship on Saturday and Sunday my order took 4 days to get to me and yet no discount on the shipping was offered. To make matters worse, the email to let me know that was prefaced by an apology for my 'inconvenience' but please note that your order went in 1 minute after our closing. Perhaps if their website had been more efficient it would have gone in sooner and they'd have avoided pissing off a customer who has done business with them for several year. Not any more. A sincere apology for how this unfolded and some offer of a modest discount on that shipping which was almost $60, at least $45 more than ground would have been. I'm terribly disappointed, dissatisfied and disgruntled.

I received an expensive bulb from this company with can in defective. They sent a return form to ship the bulb back, and on my request for a refund of $54.09, they said that they do not cover shipping on refunds, so they are only giving me the $41.99 back, which I also have not seen yet. It was their defective bulb and I don't believe I should have to pay the shipping on something from their company that did not work to begin with. Sad that the company doesn't honor the entire payment for a defective bulb.

I placed a stagelight order of more than 60 lamps.
We relamped the fixtures, after an hour 1 lamp failed. I called a week later and explained my issue. They asked for my invoice number, I was driving so this was impossible. They asked for my name, she found it. I asked her if I had to send back the defective one. She told me no worries " I will get one out the door today"!, I normally do not write a review, but this is the exception. I told her this was the typical reply I would get from my normal stage supplier. As promised, 3 days later I had the replacement and delivered it to my customer. Totally happy. They have my business. NOW THAT'S SERVICE!

Bulb America is a great source to find hard-to-find bulbs. I've used them twice to replace a bulb in a rear projection TV. Their prices are almost unbeatable. However... they charge a lot for shipping which is ridiculous in today's world of online retailers. I paid for USPS 3 day priority shipping. This was on a Friday. I was happy to receive an email later that day that my order had "shipped." It turns out that they printed the label but it had not been delivered or picked up by USPS at all so it hadn't really shipped. That was misleading. And then nothing happened over the weekend which is understandable for Sunday but I expected it to move on Saturday. Nope. And then Monday was a holiday so that is excusable. And then Tuesday morning I check it again and USPS predicts it will arrive on Friday... 4 days later. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I gave them every excuse for its delay including a weekend and a holiday and it's still arriving late. And I essentially had no choice but to use the lowest shipping cost which was the 3 day priority because all the other faster shipping options cost almost as much as the bulb itself. Unfortunately, I will probably use them again if necessary because other websites that offer free and RELIABLE shipping charge much more for the bulb. Bulb America undercharges on their costs so they can overcharge on their shipping and then don't seem to appreciate fast customer service. The extra cost of using other online retailers might just be worth it. Use a calculator before purchasing and weigh the costs of time and shipping before giving into the questionable service standards of this site.
