Seems like a lot of dissatisfaction with the BBB recently. I filed a complaint and a couple of weeks later it was closed as "unresolved". If the details of my complaint aren't visible to those who may want to check out companies there is no motivation for them to be responsive.

They sided with one of their business members, Tiner Properties, over me, even though I have pictures proving Tiner Properties lied and committed civil fraud. They do not care one hoot about consumers. It is just about defending their incompetent, corrupt member business. Below is a picture of my blocked gutter Tiner Properties' client caused by turning off the water in his backyard and then allowing his tree and ivy roots to invade my drain in search of water. Tiner has done nothing to clear my drains or the large root ball on his client's property blocking the flow of my runoff water to the street as required by law. Tiner said they did something but 1/23/24 pictures prove this is a lie.
The Better Business Bureau… are a worthless government entity that has not accomplished anything nor responded to two complaints. First time they never responded as a follow up. Don't waste your time with these people. They are most likely friends with the business you have a complaint with. We were to have an egress window installed by West Michigan Glass Block cut through my French drainage system, broke my drain footage and buried the damage and abandoned the job. The contract stated that a drain should be installed that they didn't, caused a flood twice and would not come out with a pump to help.
Don't trust them! This shameless company shelters any paying member. It will remove your honest reviews for these paying members, no matter how bad they actually are. And they don't even bother to come up with an excuse. Instead, they just say "your review has been removed". On the other hand, many decent companies got F in its website due to lack of membership payment.
The Better Business Bureau of Winnipeg is absolutely useless, and I don't even know why they exist in the first place because they've refused to help me multiple times. I've filed two complaints through them, one time regarding about how I've been taken advantage of my former employer in terms of lost wages, and another time because a landlord wouldn't refund my down deposit after I backed out of signing a lease.
This organization sent me a message within 24 hours and rejected my claim both times without looking into it in any way, shape of form. Instead of doing their best to bring justice to the situation, they choose to abandon all the responsibility which they supposedly stand for.
Their representatives are unhelpful and act lazy to look into certain matters. Only under very precise circumstances will they look into your issues. Or maybe it's just a race thing, and they discriminate against me because I'm white.
I've tried to deal with them on several occasions when businesses in various parts of the country have tried to rip us off, and every time it's the same performative BS. You file a complaint, they send it on to the buisness, give it them a chance to respond, and even if there is no resolution they close the case. Don't even bother with this useless process. It's a total waste of time. I don't even know why this organization still exists.
I called to find out why my complaint about onemain financial was removed. I was put on hold for a solid 10 minutes, hoping I would hang up before they came back.
At first I was told that it wasn't removed. I asked why can't I see it or any others and then I was told that it's there but not visible because it's about finances and security.
I then asked why my complaint about my bank is visible and he said he didn't know my banks policy. Huh?
I said so basically you hide complaints from businesses who request it.
He slipped with "yeah. I mean no we just hide complaints dealing with financial things for security, back in the circle.
I hung up at this point
This site is clearly a platform for Karens to vent. It is a weapon a Karen uses to defame a business based on their false accusations. It is strange how business has to prove they are right while Karen can simply drop any accusation without a proof. Totally bias platform.
Contacted the BBB about a business. The next day they notify me the business has responded. On the form I asked the BBB a question. Later in the day they notify me that "I" rejected the businesses offer. That is not correct. I called them today and I can't get a hold of anyone to resolve their mistake.
I have had a few different issues over the past few years which the BBB assisted in. The last one was with an online seller. I followed the return policy of the store not the platform and my refund was not issued because the platform claimed I didn't follow "their" policy. I engaged the BBB and was issued my refund as I had photos of the actual package and the seller was the one that told me how to return my item to them. The platform cannot have their own policies and allow sellers to have their own as well. I was happy with my outcome.
