AnchorPumps

Anchor Pumps, great company unfortunately they sell products that that in my opinion fail to match there ethos. Spoke to staff they recommended a Grundfos Unilift AP 35. 40. 06. A1,240v Submersible pump for dirty water. It was expensive but I was lead to believe that this would handle the job and if a problem back up was the best. 4 months after purchase it stopped working. Warranty was requested and the pump was collected the next day. After 7 days I started to chase as I had heard nothing and when the pump was broken the underground tank was full and it's not like it could get fuller. It took 6 phone calls to Anchor pumps to eventually get a response from Grundfos so because of my continued chasing this may have been the reason for their refusal of warranty. It's not like you can check there claims as they charge £120.00 to return it. In my opinion they no the value of the scrap parts and that us the reason for the charge. I would not recommend a Grundfos pump to my worst enemy, I have since started looking at reviews and find a number of people suffering similar problems. The best thing for anchor pumps would be to stop selling and only recommend products that work.
