Ordered 5ea 3000k G9 bulbs, out of the five 1ea was blue (5000k). Was asked to send pics of bulb boxes, of which I complied. It's been two weeks no response.
Not happy about being ignored. I know it's only one bulb, but none the less.
Have done business with them in the past with no problems, but no longer.
As a contractor, I can say this is not the best place to go. I've done some level of business with 1000bulbs.com for years now. Our last project that we used 100 bulbs as a vendor will be our last purchase. Fixtures and lamps from same manufacturer at same color were not the same color lamps. We tried different products from 1000bulbs but were not able to get a color match. Had to go to one of our regular wholesalers before we could get the situation resolved. Lots of wasted time, jobsite labor and money with minimal help or real concern from the 1000bulb staff.
I bought their recommended 8' LED florescent replacement lamps for a commercial coffee roaster customer. These are for the ceiling fixtures in their warehouse.
Using the lamp manufacturer's life rating, in this application (on 10 hours a day) they should have lasted 20 years. The first one failed after 3 months, now 2 more... so one by one they are failing and rather then sending out a better quality replacement at their cost, they are issuing pro-rated credits (sigh).
To me this means they do not test the lamps or source high quality products, so beware that failure might be a common experience. Also, prorating the credits is sleezy and means they do not stand behind the items they recommend.
Will I buy from them again? Nope!
I purchased a case of T8 bulbs from 1000Bulbs.com. FedEx delivered the case today. The box was not marked fragile, glass or anything to indicate there were bulbs inside. The FedEx driver tossed the box 2+ feet onto my concrete porch and walked away (I have the Ring Doorbell video to attest to this). The only way to ensure the bulbs are working now is to individually take each bulb out, install in in a fixture and see. This will take hours. 1000Bulbs is not willing to handle it in any other way.
I bought a hundred dollars worth of Christmas lights from this company, and when I got them they were cheap and extremely DIM. I asked for a refund, but they said their "policy" states that they don't issue refunds "after" Christmas. I understand the reason for this but these packages have OBVIOUSLY not been used. Only opened to plug in the lights to test them. Be careful...if you purchase from them they have hidden "policies" to prevent you returning any item. Misleading, unreasonable, and underhanded.
Ordered 2 fluorescent bulbs. Quick (though expensive) ship, and I admit to wondering how one ships fluorescent bulbs and gets them intact to the destination. Upon arrival I marveled at the size of the box, the degree that they over-packed. I thought "no way could FedEx damage these bulbs." Wrong - they were all broken. I called 1000Bulbs, got a helpful person immediately. She apologized (not that this was their fault, they had packed well), asked for some photos (not hard to do), and quickly sent me replacements. These arrived in a box that looked like a football team had run over it (thank you FedEx), but were thankfully intact because of the degree of over-packing.
Simply, I thought 1000Bulbs did a wonderful job fixing a shipping problem that wasn't their fault. Thank you.
I placed an order that according to the website was fully in stock. After purchase i was emailed and called about an item being no longer available and they were hoping i would replace it with another item. I told Lindsey Whiteside ( a commercial account manager) that I did not prefer another item and would just need the current items sent out asap. After a week goes by without a shipment confirmation I call to check on the order and find out that Lindsey Whiteside never pushed the order foward to shipping (according to Thomas). I asked Thomas if he would please find out if the order could be shipped overnight since they made the error. He said he would check and call me back about the order.
They didn't even have the backbone/courtesy or professionalism to call me back. Insteas I got an email from Lindsey Whiteside that Thomas told her i wanted to order cancelled and they would not pay for any of their mistakes.
I have ordered from this company the last few years and while the products are fine, the empolyees are not. Lindsey Whiteside has cost this buisness not just the 1000$ from this order but every future order i will place for lighting.
Charged me 3 times the cost of the bulbs in shipping. What a rip off and criminal operation! Nobody should buy from them. Go to Amazon.
Buyer be AWARE! Their site is misleading! Their prices "per each item" not "per package", nor "per case". I just spent 56 USD (shipping was another 17 USD) hoping to buy 24 bulbs (on bulb' page it said 6 per case) and in the end I received 4 (just four) bulbs! 14 dollars per fluorescent
Bulb for regular home socket is a bit steep! A ripped off? Crooks? All together? BE AWARE!
I purchased 5 small light bulbs for $13.75. Shipping cost $20.00 (FedEx ground, cheapest option). Lights ordered are wrong size. After getting approval to return items shipping cost is on customer. I will never, EVER buy from 1000Bulbs again. I'll purchase a new fixture instead.
This is why people shop Amazon!
I ordered $100 worth of 60 watt incandescent A19 light bulbs to have on hand, since they are about to be discontinued and I have a health problem that is exacerbated by the flickering of other types of lights, When they arrived, I put them on a shelf for future use but discovered when I needed one a few days ago that they aren't the standard 60-watt bulbs but are much, much dimmer--too dim to use in my lamps. Apparently, it's because they are 277 volts, which means something to electricians but meant nothing to me looking at the website--silly me thought that all 60-watt bulbs were the same brightness. I called customer service about returning them, but she said she couldn't help me because I was over the 30-day period for returns, even though the bulbs have never been unpacked and are still in the original shipping box surrounded by foam peanuts. It's not like light bulbs are perishable or clothing I might have worn. Instead, the company has my $100, and I am stuck with light bulbs I'll never use. Customer service told me the return policy was on the website (so I am out of luck).
Tyler was a jerk, kept talking over me refused to warranty bulbs that went bad because i wasn't told about ballasts by passing wasted over $300.00,lost a long term loyal customer for life, with out your customers you wouldn't have a job son!
Unlike *many* other online companies which sell light bulbs, this company screws its customers on returns by 1) making them pay return shipping, and 2) then only refunding them the cost of the bulb order and not the shipping!? I'm sorry, but when you aren't paying for brick & mortar locations, and you're relying on online orders only, you need to have a return policy that makes someone whole if/when they need to return an item. Does Amazon charge you for shipping? No. Does Amazon make you pay to return ship the item(s)? No. Does Amazon only refund you the cost of the item and not its original shipping costs? Yes, you might be able to save some money by buying from these folks, but lord help you if you need to return something!
I don't leave many reviews but this company deserves one. 1000Bulbs and Jeff Hale in particular give 5-star service. The prices were the most competitive I could find (and I looked a lot!) and Jeff was diligent, prompt, and courteous. I will gladly return and support a business with this level of service! As a bonus, the LED bulbs I bought to replace fluorescent bulbs in our warehouse were bright enough that 2 bulbs replaced 4 older bulbs and were brighter! Great experience all around, nice work guys.
1000 bulbs are cheaper to buy from. BUT if they send you the wrong item, they treat you as a liar. Make returns very difficult. Do not respond to emails or calls. Better off spending a little more at a local store.
I Ordered lights from my paint booth 7 on them came broken and they were discontinued stuck with these lights
Ordered replacement bulbs for our sports field. Bulbs did not fit. Company will not accept any returns after 30 days, even with any kind of re-stocking fees.
I tried to order a $5 light bulb but they wanted $18 to deliver it. After writing a review on their website, they disallowed it. All I stated were the prices and left it but they didn't like it so they took it down. Bad business, stay away.
Sent the wrong lights and won't send replacements unless I purchase new lights or send the other lights back. Bought them to install in a school so had pay labor to install then pay labor to remove and install the correct light. Will never be purchasing anything from them again.
Answer: I don't know about everything else but a T9 12" circular light bulbs delivery fee was $18. The light only cost $5. Got it at Walmart for $7.
Answer: I didn't due to an $18 shipping charge on a $5 bulb. Then they pulled my review down which only stated fact. Not a reputable business in my mind.
