I keep trying different products hoping to find ones that are of good value, but I've yet to find anything that I love. I joined hoping to find foods that were cleaner and eliminated unnecessary ingredients, but the majority of the foods are tailored to those with food allergies and who are vegetarian/vegan. Most products are not cheaper than the grocery store either.
Cancellation nearly impossible. Had to repeat myself 8 times. Items are cheaper at my local grocery store (I've even gotten some identical products at Aldi for half the price)

The website is designed to force you to upgrade. Once you click on website you don't have the possibility to review website without joining first off. I will be canceling but after paying 13 dollars just to see if it was worth it. I was interested until I released i had two boxes since I selected frozen food and pantry. There is two separate charges and I had to meet the minimum ordering for each to get free shopping. You are not saving any money in the long run if you have to pay a mo they free and shipping.

I got a free one year membership so I decided to try it ou. T After the initial set up (forces you to answer multiple questions to get into the store), it apparently put a bunch of recommended items in my cart that I did not choose. The worst part is that I got an email that my items were going to ship if I didn't edit my cart. I didn't choose any of these items and had I not paid close attention, they would've shipped everything and charged me. Slimy practice. I deleted everything and then went back in today to browse and had to answer all the same questions again before I could look at anything. Sure enough, it added a bunch of items to my cart. Then, after adding some of my own items, I realized that some items showed a quantity of 2, and you could only get them if you added 2 or more to your cart. I won't be renewing after this. The website is a pain, I don't want to spend time answering a bunch of questions and then going in and deleting things I don't want from my cart. Just let me shop!

I recently received an order where one of the items I ordered arrived open inside of the box (popped along the seam and I did not use a razor to cut open box). I reached out to the chat function where they issued me a refund for the item however I was going to still be left to pay shipping if I reordered the item myself. I then was chatting with a live agent explaining the situation and that the item I ordered was needed this week for a breakfast event I was hosting. The live agent never once apologized for the problem with my item, stated that they issue refunds when there are issues and don't ship single items because they are an eco-friendly company to which I responded unfortunately it wouldn't be eco-friendly since the item arrived unusable and had to be thrown away. After several minutes of her checking what she could do for me she gave me a free shipping code. Despite asking for them to reship the item to me I had to then go order the item myself use two different coupon codes to get the order covered and now I'll wait the arrival of my item to see if it comes in time. I was dissatisfied with this customer service experience and is likely changing my philosophy on utilizing Thrive going forward.

It's a pain to order, the selection of products I can use is very limited, many of the products I have tried are gross, and I hate the membership fee and the additional "safety" fee (whatever that is) NO other company has it. The only reason I order from them at all is because they have two products I can't get anywhere else.

I canceled my membership after my first and only order in 2017.
Thrive Market kept charging my PayPal account (*******@usakeratin.com) every year WITHOUT MY CONSENT.
In 2021, I disputed the charge, and they refunded me – proving I never wanted this subscription.
Instead of stopping, they reactivated my account in 2025 and charged me AGAIN!
I contacted them multiple times (Feb 25 & 26,2025) and was ignored.
Total Money Thrive Market Took Without My Consent:
$59.95 – 02/23/2025
$81.91 – 02/23/2025
$59.95 – 05/22/2020
$59.95 – 05/22/2019
$59.95 – 05/21/2018
💰 Total Fraudulent Charges: $299.75
Thrive Market's Response?
🚫 They admitted my account was canceled in 2021 but still reactivated it in 2025 without my consent.
🚫 They refused to process a full refund and kept stalling.
🚫 They only agreed to refund 2 charges but ignored the rest.
How is This Even Legal?
Thrive Market is knowingly engaging in deceptive billing practices by keeping old subscriptions active, even after customers cancel. This is outright fraud, and I will NOT stop until they are held accountable.
Actions I Am Taking:
Filing chargebacks through PayPal & my credit card provider
Reporting Thrive Market to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) & the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)
Filing complaints on BBB, TrustPilot, and every major consumer watchdog site
💥 If you value your money, avoid Thrive Market at all costs. I will keep fighting until they refund every last dollar they stole from me.

Heavy synthetic fragrance on food items. I am a doctor of epidemiological studies and I cannot express more emphatically to you or how bad this is for your neuroendocrine system. Anyone with any kind of chronic or autoimmune illness needs to stay very far away from these types of scents especially on food. There needs to be a lot better oversight contamination. The second issue is that they use on trac so good luck getting your deliveries in any kind of timely manner. You may think to yourself, I'll just purchase some frozen items because surely they will have to arrive on time and nope, they will still arrive leaking and getting all over anything it touches. Not fun when you live in Bear country.

After the first order/free trial, I tried to cancel but stayed when their retention marketing chatbot offered an entire year for $9 so I stayed. Our household is only two adults. I find it to be just an online Trader Joe's but pricier with very, very small items. We have had 3 orders so far. It's mostly snack food and anything cold (frozen) costs way too much to ship unless you hit a high price for free shipping so we're not interested in that. I really didn't appreciate that you had to sign up before even seeing their selection of items. I was thinking they had fresh produce (they do not) and better selections of meats/fish (only a few frozen options with high shipping costs). I don't love that they advertise as affordable but a single-serving bag of peanut butter pretzels is $6. Most of the snacks are teeny tiny but cost the same as family-sized portions. There are some good snacks but we are still spending the same amount on full grocery trips so it just feels like a luxury add-on and not an essential subscription. Packaging is insane - I know it's to keep everything safe but with an order of ~20 items our trash and recycling are full of packaging. They individually wrap things in mile-long rolls of brown paper. It feels a little silly to go through all of that for snacks. We'll keep ordering for fun but won't be renewing after the year is up.

I like the products I order from Thrive, but I hate when it's time for my order to review, you have put things in my cart that I would never order and I have to delete them. You have no right to put anything in my cart - EVER. And this time, I had my order ready, checked it and the price because I'm on a limited budget, and now that it is processed it is about $15 higher than it was when I checked it yesterday. I will not be renewing when my subscription is up for those reasons. I like the products, but there is absolutely no need for this deceptive marketing, and for that reason you will be losing me as a customer.
