1. On items worth retail $5,000 or $3,000 on sale or $1,000 pre owned they will offer $200.
2. Takes one month for them to go through your few little items (I sent 7)
3. You have to pay 2$ per item to shoot them back to you.
4. Customer service is unavailable over the phone and takes about 48-72 hours to get a response
I signed up for their subscription box a few months ago and honestly I had great boxes. Recently I got a pair of J brands capri jeans for $70 and I've been wearing it almost everyday! Sometimes sizing and fit doesn't work but usually they send me styles and brands I like. I haven't used their selling service but I may try it.
Good store! Thank you for your work! You do it really qualitatively, for which you are very grateful. Always willing to go the extra mile, call back, clarify, etc. Prompt feedback and competent advice. I can recommend.
I have been using material box for quite some time now and so far it has been an overall great experience. I can update my preferences each month and an actual stylist (not a robot) listens to all my requests. The best part is that i get to preview the box before it's shipped out and pick my favorite 5 items. I pay online for what i keep and i return the rest with shipping free both ways! I was also able to pause my box (right from my account) this month because i was traveling to Paris. I highly recommend trying this service if you want to receive luxury for a fraction of the retail price!
Seems like people are having issues consigning with Material World but no issues with the shipments here. I kept a stunning pink Burberry scarf and returned the rest easily. It was received back in two days. I was able to choose what I wanted before it even shipped. I love it, I am def staying! All the clothing sent is like brand new! Thanks!
For someone like myself who hates going out and shopping, this service was PERFECT! I recently received my first box and absolutely loved the entire experience. My stylist really understood exactly I was looking for. I especially loved that I was able to preview the items before getting them in the mail. On top of all of that, the prices were a steal. How can you not love it?
Great first experience. I was out of town when the box arrived. Thankfully your wonderful customer service worked with my schedule to give me extra time. As far as the clothing, I LOVED the style of this entire box! The pieces I'm returning are purely due to fit :( The Raf Simmons shirt was very very cute, and I love prints, but the fit was a little too boxy on me. The Rag and Bone Jeans were also up my ally, but the fit was a bit too tight in certain areas. It was an overall fun experience and I am excited to see what comes next month!
I thought the choices were ok, I didn't love anything but it's not like I disliked anything. I kept some stuart weitzman boots because they were really cheap compared to how much they usually cost so I was happy about that. I also sold them some of my own items too which I thought was easy, especially since I had been wanting to get rid of them for awhile and made some extra cash
My stylist is doing a good job (it's really hard to figure out someone's style!) but I'm open if someone else wants to. I think it would be helpful to have a place where the customer can upload pictures of favorite things in their closet so the stylist can get a visual sense of their style.
I have been subscribing to Material Box for the past year or so and have really enjoyed my experience so far. I have rejected a few items for fit or style, my stylist always takes my feedback into account for my next box. I have been able to get several NWT or like new dresses from Reformation, A. L. C., and Parker in the $70 - $110 range. I recently splurged and got an amazing suede Burberry Brit moto jacket for $320. The original value would have been well over $1000, so $320 was actually a steal. I have also been trying to send in a few items to trade in every time I receive a box. The payout hasn't been that high for clothing, but it's convenient. I have also been using my trade-in credit towards my box purchases whenever possible. I get additional credit for shopping with my trade-in credit so all-in-all it's very convenient and a smart way to shop for designer pieces. A fun way to continually refresh my closet!
Answer: File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I just did.
Answer: They accepted brands that no one else accepted. However, they are very slow and unresponsive. Bad customer service.
Answer: They received my box end of August. It is now 10/9 and still no offer. Called and they said they are running behind. Wish I never sent anything in.
Answer: REAL REAL - MUCH BETTER! It's consignment which begins at 50% but increases with price and usage.
