Beyond disappointing

This is the most heavily monetized "dating" app I've ever experienced. The entire thing is built around funneling you into live streams where you pay money to bid for attention. And the streamers? You can't filter them more local than THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. And the money you spend doesn't go to the streamers, it goes to the app.

Popular users are hidden behind a paywall, you can't focus your dating pool more locally than 31 miles (I live in LA and ran out of prospects in less than a half hour), and nothing works -- you join livestreams to get experience points, but then you can't claim them, it will alert you to new users in your area, then takes you to a livesteam from someone in another country, they say there's a "daily roulette" where you can win premium content, but it doesn't actually exist.

And it's so so fraudulent. You'll get "messages" from other users that take you to their Livestream, but they didn't actually send the messages, the app did. And it's weird, but negative reviews in the Google play store (maybe the app store too) constantly disappear. I've rated it one star FIVE times now and it's always gone within hours. They have a 4.4 star rating, but 9 out of 10 reviews are one star (I guess they can't delete them fast enough).

Everything in and around the app is misspelled which really doesn't inspire confidence. The claims they make on their play store page are so lofty and generic (it is the go-to place to meet locals) and downright absurd when you think about them for a second — it reads like a fourth grader trying to pad out a paper. My favorite line is "we believe dating can be a path to relationship." It's funny though, because you WILL NOT find a real irl date.

There's something extremely fishy about this app. Every part of it feels like a grift, and apparently one that's kind of working, since people sign up for the free trial and then run into problems canceling, and get charged $15/week for services they claim they can't access. What's more, OKCupid recently retooled their platform to include a live stream function that's EXACTLY like Hily's. I guess they saw the (fraudulent) high rating and "#6 top grossing in dating app" tag and figured it's something people actually like.

Maybe they do. But if you take a stroll through their reviews, you'll have a hard time finding any positive ones, and even harder time finding a positive review where the person sounds like they've actually used the app. You might also notice that the support (or "suppor" lol) team responds to almost all reviews, with just a handful of identical messages that weakly attempt to excuse the glaring problems brought up. My favorite was a guy who said it's got "the worst support team I've ever experienced" and they responded telling him he can always reach out to the "suppor" team.

I had high hopes for this app, based on the overall rating and some reviews, and it has not lived up to ANY of it. What's more, the insidious dishonesty and blatant greed of its design are just so loathsome. This is an app that looks at it's users as marks to be taken cheaply for everything they can squeeze out of them. This app preys on the desperation of people tired of what the other big apps have become and want to try something new. Well it is new, but it's not here to help.

Do not give them any financial information
