Meh

Website didn't allow a choice on spiciness, resulting in ALL the dishes being really underwhelming for their lack of spice. Delivery person called from their car instead of bringing it to the door, which I found odd and never had it happen that way previously.

Delicious food

I've seen DubPlate pop up a few times in my local area but never gave them a try. Im glad I finally did! I got the jerk chicken plate and it was scrumptious 😋 My dad used to make jerk chicken but waay to spicy. This has the right level of heat for me. I'll definitely be going back for another plate. It is a bit pricey per plate but the servings are generous for much better quality food than you'd get at popeyes for literally the same price.

Ready notification

It would have been great to receive a notification when the order was ready since I requested asap. I think it was ready much sooner but I waiting in my car outside and eventually figured I'd go in, which was still before the time it was estimated to be ready.

There was a roughly $20 fee added after my subtotal that was not explained. There's nothing that states what this fee is for. If it is a delivery fee, it's excessive, especially for the short distance and the fact that a tip is still expected.

Good for ordering, bad for check out

Putting together a food order is convenient but every time I try to check out using my Grabull account the app refuses to accept my password and when I try to reset my password it has trouble sending a code and if it sends the code it does not work. This has happened more than 5 times over the past year.
I waste a lot of time trying to check out and have to either try to check out as a guest which is tricky because it recognizes my email and tries to make me log in and again go through the problems described above or just call the restaurant because Grabull won't let me check out. Calling the restaurant and avoiding Grabull works best. It's too bad since the app has a lot of potential.

After waiting for an hour, I called the restaurant to ask for delivery estimate as I knew the resturant was closing soon. Was told my order had never been received. The restaurant took my order over the phone & delivered it with 20 min.

Never Received Order
March 23, 2025

Placed an order for Somerville's Leones using Grabull at 8:19pm. At 9:45, no delivery. Called customer support, told to wait for them to contact driver. 20 minutes later, told that driver must have misplaced the order or eaten it. Told I will get my full refund. (But I was also told I was going to get my order so who knows) What's the point of using these 3rd party services when the drivers consistently don't show up or don't bring complete orders?

Given a 19 minute ETA, but nothing showed for an hour. Fortunately, we called and was told our driver's location. The ability to check over the phone is really valuable.

Great but…

Food was amazing but I was a little annoyed because I left my phone in the car with my daughter and I told him I had a pick up order under my name and he asked me go get my phone to show him the order.
