The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding its platform's functionality and customer service. Users frequently express frustration over the arbitrary removal of legitimate posts, with many feeling that the site is overrun by scams while genuine listings are flagged without explanation. Additionally, the lack of responsive customer support exacerbates these issues, leaving users feeling unheard. Despite some recognition of the platform's potential to connect individuals, the prevailing sentiment is one of disappointment, with many users seeking alternatives due to these persistent challenges.

I've been using Craigslist for years. Lately they take my add down in minutes. I'm not posting anything I shouldn't and don't understand why they keep flagging me. I'm over it. Using zidaho for now on
Graiglist need to modify the platform, anything i post for sale or community gets flagged or removed.
I never posted porn or sexual related posting.
It's time for everyone to forget graiglist and move on.
What a horrible platform! They allow posts from scammers and backyard breeders! But any legitimate breeder or business placing a post they Flag! BEWARE IF YOU LOOKING FOR A DOG THROUGH CRAIGSLIST - They are why real business and breeders get a bad rap!
They always remove my ads for no reason. Fake hack site run by idiots from San Francisco. Avoid posting there if you can. Must be a better place to go than them
Don't post on Craigslist. They have worst filters to remove your advertisements post for no reason. And they have stupid people flagging you down again for no reason. Especially if you're a paid user. They probably won't refund you back. They don't even have phone customer service even for paid users. Good luck trying to get your money back and email them if they even respond back. They never responded back to me in an email. This is very annoying.
Craigslist may be a great resource, but be cautious while searching for anything because scammers are out there! Verify its safety!
I used craigslist for years: I bought some staff, sold TV, found a job. But I don't understand why there isn't any support
They take down postings if you don't pay for it, limiting what people can see in the website. I don't recommend this website.
This site is a BAD, BAD joke...
They remove/deactivate your listing for no valid reason because the site is run by people who are as smart as a box of hair and that is why it is packed with junk, crap and trash.
And good luck if you try to contact customer service and ask for an explanation, you better off talking to your chair!
Right in the middle of everywhere in the world we are fighting inflation craigslist raises the price of an ad from $3.00 to $5.00 with no addition of features. Just give me more money they said.
Once upon a time, I could use CL as a legitimate source to sell homemade, used or any product or service and make money without problems. Not any more. I'm not sure when it all changed, perhaps when backpage was shut down, but a person (particularly female) can do hardly anything any longer. I bought a business services ad for residential and commercial cleaning. What did I get? 3 legitimate responses. The rest were for things such as: "can you do nude? In lingerie? Topless? Etc. I placed an ad for a room/house share and what did I get? 100% were "sure if you will do xyz.:" all sexually explicit. When I needed a place to stay when I was homeless just temporarily until I could get a job and get on my feet, I'm exchange I offered for, cooking and cleaning, until I could start paying rent? 98% responses were of a sexually explicit nature. I also put this ad in the community section. Same thing. I needed a rideshare and got the same results. I don't believe other than selling a car, trailer, or any inanimate object that there is any other type of person responding. ON TOP OF WHICH, the moment they are rejected, is the moment THEY delete your ad. The stupidest practice any online publication can possibly institute and that is to allow clearly deviant, sociopathic readers to censor their publication. Then when they get accustomed to your vernacular? They don't even respond. They just delete. It is like the patients running the asylum or the toddlers watching over the day care center or more appropriately the criminals overseeing the prison. CL remains at the top of their genre, but I can only surmise the bull of their readers are the leftovers from backpage. It is only good for selling objects. It isn't even good for getting a job. The good number of those ads are scams—of a sexual nature usually.
I posted in 3 different areas simple post for my pug puppies just simple contact info no pricing get flagged and removed every single time yet there are people with pictures and $2000 dollar prce tags all over the place this site is BS the puppy mills run rampant on here and flag your post for greed whoever owns this company is seriously screwed up I wont shop or post with Craigslist ever again I hope your site crashes and burns no images because they flagged all attempts to find suitable homes for my babies craigslist blows
A few weeks ago, CL started removing my posts for no reason.
They don't even have a phone # to call.
I have been posting in craigslist 50 items for each month 3.00 per post now the raised the price for 5.00 no thank you not for me anymore Facebook market is free
I am blocked by Craigslist for no apparent reason. They give an email site to respond to, no one responds back. No idea why I am blocked, only posted normal items such as Gas Dryer, auto, etc. Never any complaints, posted maybe 5x in the last 2 years. Have emailed them 10x in last 6 months w/no reply. This is what it shows:
Your request has been blocked.

I've posted for a room to rent several times through out the years and lately things aren't what they use to be. I've gotten messages from men of course that invite me out of state for a place all expenses to get there free rent sound to good to be true. I figure ok if this man wants me to go stay there for free all expenses paid then let's see how true it is. I'll message back stating "if you want me to believe your legit and I can go worry free no rent etc then show me. Here's my cash tag if you want me to believe you and trust you send $50 if not then your probably a trafficking women that are vulnerable and believe what you say and are never to be seen again"
Other responses are "take care of me I'll take care of you" I'm willing to pay rent why am I taking care of anyone period.
Don't take my word for it put an ad up in your city state your a female looking for a room... and the responses will come
I've also put ad in the craigslist community ride share section to get a ride to store and back pretty much noonish willing to pay but same responses "I don't want the cash we can work out something out" "can you send a pic" "are you a female"
These responses usually come from midnight to 4 am no I won't get in a car at that time I would've ubered but only got cash on me and the main reason to go to store was to load my cash app
Craigslist will let prostitutes and down-low s*x get posted all over the site, but the moment someone posts something gentle, genuine, or basic, it will be flagged into oblivion.
CL is the place scum reigns supreme and legitimately normal people are denied participation.
Going without community contact is better than using Craigslist.
Apparently if I pay $5 for a music lesson ad it will place me in the poor house...I meant it will place me above all the non-payers in the lessons listing.
Good.
However, if everyone wants to pay $5 then Craigslist gets to make out on the competition and I pay $5 often just to be sure my original listing isn't now buried at the bottom.
This makes it impossible for a musician to post an ad like it was before they started charging.
This works for you if you're in a small city.
This works against you (and for Craigslist) if you're in a big city.
Furthermore, you're forced to charge your potential student more just to be seen on Craigslist in September 2023
There has been quite a few posts that are scams on here, houses for rent that actually are houses for sale, they use the pictures the Realtors have and then they use that and they post it for rent and then I'm on my way to Florida but it's a $50 application fee blah blah blah and we'll mail you the keys don't fall for it especially the senior Section 8 one. Realtors are trying to get it taken down but Craigslist come on get with the program it's a scam this is like the fifth one I found
While Craigslist started off as a good site, and has maintained a very clean and lightweight design throughout it's existence, it's undoubtedly one of the absolute worst sites on the internet today.
The site staff literally don't care about their users. Support emails are literally never read, they go to an unmonitored inbox. Their site's contact form is literally just a placebo, those messages literally never get read. Their forums are the most toxic place on the internet and you will never get any sort of help from them, only flaming and insults.
The site is full of scams, phishing, criminals trying to set people up to rob them, and it's automated spam filtering algorithms do nothing to prevent the massive flood of spam that makes up the majority of the content on the site, but they do often prevent legitimate users from posting non-spam-content.
Furthermore, the founder, Craig Newmark, is an objectively terrible person. He's not a good man. He's a hateful, vindictive, self-righteous arrogant jerk who goes out of his way to shut down competition, to shut down sites that enhance Craigslist, and a hypocrite who claims to stand against corporatism while engaging in the very thing he decries
Do yourself a favor and stop posting on that site, and don't pay them a penny. Let Craigslist starve and die
Answer: Because the dealers pay them. Craigslist has turned into a spammers haven. There are next to no real postings left. The scammers flag real postings so their ads get priority. Its a dead site.
craigslist provides local classifieds and forums for jobs, housing, for sale, services, local community, and events
