Today is July 7,2024. I haven't written previously, but after hearing about other veterans being misled & ripped off by AFVC I decided to write this review.
My reservation,Confirmation number R*******399-(C), was with Wild Bear Inn through AFVC on 5/11/2022. Within fifteen(15) minutes after booking I had to canceled. I immediately called the Hotel to cancel and requested a full refund. The Hotel informed me that they had a 'No Refund Policy', and referred me back to AFVC. I contacted AFVC and the Agent then reiterated this Hotel's No Refund Policy which is somewhat misleading. Then AFVC suggested that I call the Hotel to see if they would reconsider. So I called the Hotel back who then referred me to another third party called, 'Get A Room'. I contacted Get A Room who referred me back to AFVC.
This Hotel's 'No Refund Policy', wasn't adequately explained to me by the AFVC Agent before booking. Therefore, I believe that AFVC is at fault here because they failed to adequately explain these Hotels policies, and allow these businesses with misleading information to make money from the members through them. And AFVC sent my personal credit card information to a third party without my permission.
It has been over Two years, I have spoken with several Agents and Supervisor's about this matter, but to no avail. That's over $600.00 that I lost through AFVC.m, and all they have done is shuffle me off to the next thief.
My Fellow Veterans Please, please, please, throughly check out any Hotel or Resort you are considering booking through Armed Forces Vacation Club before giving your credit card information to them.
