Sure, why not. I understand that it's not a traditional way of trading, but at the same time, it's a good opportunity to try smth new if you haven't done it yet.
They are susceptible to analysis in the same extent as other assets, more habitual ones.
Maybe the approach to analysis is a bit different, because options price fluctuations are more about technical side of the analysis you know, indicators, oscillators and other stuff. Market news, various events affect them less.
At least I speak according to my own experience, mb there's someone who can argue.
